Impressive piece of history. This beautiful ship gives me new appreciation for our military service members. The tour was very enlightening and well put together. Everyone was very knowledgeable and helpful. I can't wait to come back and visit again.

This was such a lovely experience to share with my family of four. My kids (ages 7 and 9) absolutely loved traveling back in time to see what it was like on this ship during it’s prime. Captain Bill was awesome and he gave my girls a job (follow the arrows and lead the way throughout the ship) and at the end he gave them sticker badges! They definitely enjoyed him and so did we. There was a lot to see and it felt surreal at times. It was definitely worth it.

What a great piece of history to interact with. My husband and I try to get on any historical ship or submarine that we can. The bravery and dedication of the men and women that served on these vessels is truly incredible.

An amazing piece of history! Current owner needs all the regular help he can get to continue to preserve history! We loved the tour, very informative! Very educational and fun! Veterans receive discount on entry fee.

A nice experience walking through one of the most decorated US ships left afloat. My only complaint would be the dearth of signage and explanatory panels about what I'm seeing in the ship (for instance some rooms available to view have no signage whatsoever about what they represent). The small bar in the bow is kind of cool, but I also kind of hate it. It seems out of place on a museum ship, and there are already too many places to find drunk people in key west. All in all I enjoyed my visit, and if I was ever in town again I'd stop by.

More than just old Coast Guard boat! I learned a lot on this tour. This boat saw conflict in WW2 and Vietnam so there was information on American History as well as the workings of the Coast Guard. Highly recommend adding this to your list of Key West museums to visit. We were lucky enough to catch some sort of rescue training while on the deck of the boat. Very cool.

Well worth seeing. Staff very knowledgeable and clearly proud of the ship's heritage. Easy and free parking was a surprise as it was the only time in Key West that was the case!

First the only reason it got 4 stars from me....was because it was closed til Oct 10th, 2023 for maintenance....and didn't post that on their site...but we still went to see this beautiful ship! My son absolutely loved it! Will be checking out the museum inside next year!

A beautiful old Coast Guard Cutter that is now a museum. Lots of great history, her service to the Coast Guard and our country is amazing!

We enjoyed the 45 minute self guided tour of a well preserved coast guard ship. Be warned that there are a few very strep ladders that must be used to complete the tour.

A great self guided tour of the ship. $15 with discounts for vets and inlisted personel. You need to be able to walk up and down steep steps. It's a good history lesson.

We did the Tour of the USCGC Ingham, the most decorated Maritime Vessel in United States History. The fee was only $15.00 and well worth the history that you will discover on this vessel. It's pretty much a self guided tour, but someone who served on this ship was doing some work there and we struck up a conversation and he shared some very interesting stories about the ship's history. The best part, is that it's just around the corner from Fort Zachary Taylor, so you can easily do both sites in a reasonable amount of time. You can actually see it from the top of the Fort. The parking for this area is $5.00 an hour. We just purchased 1 hour of parking from the meter. Definitely worth seeing!!!

After a couple visits to Key West, I went to tour the USS Ingham while my husband and so s were fishing. I am so glad I did! Bill, the owner and Bill, a veteran volunteer were accomodating and delightful! The history of the ship is palpable. It is an honor to walk its hallowed halls. I highly recommend spending an hour ot two of your time here.

Fabulous place to watch the sunset on a Friday night away from the overwhelming crowds at Mallory Square. An older, more relaxed crowd, but still fun to be with. Pelicans and warblers flying off the bow. Absolutely unimpeded sunset views. Five dollar admission to help support the ship's upkeep, well worth it. Cash bar.

It was an amazing experience! It was a fairly interactive museum and you were able to walk around the ship fairly freely and weren’t constantly pestered by walls. It felt almost like time had frozen on that ship. The staff were very intelligent and knew a lot about the history of the ship being able to describe in detail it’s purpose and missions it’s been on. Overall 10/10. I would recommend a visit.

We were here for a short visit but very informative. Staff were amazing and kind. The self guided tour was great. Had bathrooms which is great for the kids. Small snack bar after the tour. Make sure you bring or wear your bathing suits as there is a water park near by. Go on a Thursday so you can catch the farmers market.

Worth the visit!!! Big piece of history sitting on the dock by two parks. Large parking area. Very family friendly. Knowledgeable staff. We have been on ship tours before but were very impressed with this one. Lots of attention to detail and work put in. Ship was well ventilated with working fans to keep guests comfortable in the Florida heat. Ship served from WWII to 1988 and had a confirmed U-Boat sinking.

It was an awesome self guided tour (they give you a sheet with all the numberee stopping points) several have audio in those locations. Super lovely and decent price drinks once you finish the tour as well.

Wonderful museum! You get free roam of an old coast guard ship. The volunteer staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. It was one of the best museum experiences we’ve had in Key West.

Laid down as a Coast Guard cutter in 1937 this ship has an awesome history. When it was retired in 1988, only the ammunition and classified documents were removed. Everything else was just left as was. Now a museum ship, its storied history is laid out pretty well. Converted to an escort/subhunter in transferred to the navy in 1941, it operated in the North Atlantic. As the battle of the Atlantic wound down, it was converted to a command flag ship in the south Pacific in 1944. After WWII it was returned to the Coast Guard, eventually providing support operations in Vietnam. After Vietnam, it was converted back to its peace-time configuration, where it performed rescue and interdiction duties until retired.

Well, it looked really cool from the outside. We really wanted to see the inside/museum, but the signage was confusing with it being closed at the time but listing 2 different days for reopening. We went back on the first day listed and it was still closed and then we got sidetracked with the rest of our vacation. Maybe next time.

This was such a great experience...I can't believe we've been to Key West several times and never went here before! When touring the ship, you really feel as if you've taken a trip back to the past. It was an amazing experience, great for adults and children....the workers were friendly and prices are reasonable. We took about an hour, maybe a little more to tour..

Bruce and Karen are some of the kindest people in Key West. They honestly care about this ship and it’s history. If you are looking for something to do with your children then I highly recommend. Bonus, in this park there is a splash pad that we spent another hour at, as well as walking the flea market on Thursday from 2-7pm.

What a neat tour! We had an awesome time exploring and connecting with this ship. It's well-maintained, and the stories are clearly explained. We spent a whole hour in here just going through everything.

Did the ship walk thru as a spontaneous thing while in Key West. Was very interesting to see the inside of a true time capsule of history. Remarkable how intricate the inside of the ship, especially the engine room below is. Walking thru there are pictures and explanations along the way. We were the only ones at that time to do the tour and took our time. Very interesting and at times emotional as this ship was used in war and lives were lost. I recommend this stop for something different.

A great place to take children interested in ships and War History. They enjoyed the tour but scared to walk up/down the steps.

Their sunset happy hour on Fridays and Saturdays (weather permitting) is amazing! Get there when they open an hour before sunset so you can get a good seat. It's $5 to board the ship and they have a small bar with reasonable prices. What a unique and relaxing place to soak up the views.
