Pretty nice / fancy pub to check out in downtown Sunnyvale on Murphy. Came here on a Saturday evening and there were plenty of empty tables so seating wasn't an issue. The food and drink itself was decent. I got the vegetarian pot pie and some 🍷 and it was a pleasant ambience to dine in. That being said, I don't think I'd frequent this place too often given how expensive it is, but it can be a good place for just drinks. Note that parking can be tricky around this area in general, you likely have to walk a bit.

We ordered two cocktail drinks that were so-so. Nothing special. The cheese plate came so late and again nothing special about it. Reminds me of grocery cheeses. Not sure why we had to wait 30 minutes or so for it to arrive. The great Britain paneer masala is again mediocre. For $22 I expect more! Could have gotten it for $12 at other Indian food places. The vegetable pot pie was meh! We would have wanted to get the spicy veggie burger but the patty has eggs and they couldn't make it vegan. Thanks for the experience but not coming back again.

We had several platters between our group. The food was good, service was a bit slow. The pub is really nice and it's surrounded by other restaurants, plus it's next door to a pool hall. It doesn't get much better than that.

I never considered this place, even though I walked through this multiple times. But this one is a really nice place for friday hangout. They have decent vegetarian options. Although the Burger bun does contain egg. The serving size is decent but the sides make it really filling. The french fries that we ordered was also quite tasty. But the thing that really made the difference to me was the service. It was really amazing. I am usually the person who doesn't leave much tip (for a reason I don't want to explain here), but this place I definitely felt they deserved it. The waiter when he realized that I am a pure vegetarian, he not only profusely refused, he also asked if I would like to change the order. When I told him that I was ok, he then got a plate of Peta Bread and Hummus on his own. Just so that I don't go hungry. I've never had such a great consideration. I don't remember the name of the staff, but if management is reading this, please consider giving him a raise. Overall, the ambiance is quite nice and overall an enjoyable experience!

Amazing. Great food all around. Loved the freshly made shepherd's pie and mashy peas. The Oxford mule was also very delicious as was the banana chocolouffe. I couldn't get a picture before I ate because it smelled so good. Service was also great. This food was made from scratch and there were several orders before us so it took time, but it was well worth the wait. I look forward to returning.

We only had drinks at this place but sure intend to go back. The bartenders were friendly and explained the drink ingredients. They let us try their special drink mix. Looked like an interesting English food menu.

A great value add to Downtown Sunnyvale. Great patio dining and wonderful ambience. Superb beers and cocktails. Menu had a great balance of vegetarian, vegan and meat lovers dishes. I had the veggie burger that had great patty and very crispy fries. They call it the Spicy Veggie burger but it was not spicy at all and it was blunt. So, it suits anyone. It went well with a glass of old fashioned. The service is exceptional. They kept checking on us and kept us hydrated with their splendid drinks. Restroom was clean and maintained.

If you crave a delicious, desi, vegetarian burger…they have it at Oxford and they are awesome at their service. It was just mind blowing tasty, just right spicy and warm and big. We also ordered ravioli and chili cheese bread. Their service was top notch, we sat outside with kids and enjoyed are meal. I am coming back for burger, again and again.

Tried the Potato Gnocchi and Mushroom Ravioli. Both were good. Few vegetarian options, not a lot. But you can customize some of the options and get a substitute for meat. Great ambiance and food options overall. Good for large parties.

I went here while traveling to Sunnyvale for work and went back several times. I usually get the pear&avocado salad, the Kobe burger and a Toki highball. I sit at the bar. The highball is executed really nicely, some orange and an airless giant ice cube. The salad is perfect, substantial but not heavy, nicely dressed. The Kobe burger medium is a little pink, really tasty. It’s pretty quiet during the week, staff is friendly but all business. Nice place to unwind.

The Oxford Shepherd’s pie was pretty good, but unexpectedly a bit spicy for my taste. The hummus appetizer was very good though!

Great location, food, and vibe. Excellent cocktail selections. The service was too slow for that hour even if not too busy. We literally had to ask multiple times for the food and drinks that we ordered. Other than the delay, everything else was good.

We had a good time here. The tikka masala is British and delicious, the cheese chicken flatbread is great to nibble with drinks. The banoffee pie is well done as well.

Excellent gem on Murphy avenue. I've been here many times now. They serve a solid burger and make excellent cocktails. Burgers are everywhere in the US, but it's much harder to find a proper cocktail bar in Sunnyvale. Oxford has you covered: the bartenders are knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. Their "Of the Older Fashion" is a great twist on the Old Fashion and works very well as an after-dinner cocktail.

The ambiance of Oxford Kitchen is amazing, and I love the authenticity of the menu. My husband and I have been here a few times, and the meals are always fantastic! The fish and chips is my favorite in the area. The banoffee tart is a great way to end the night!

The Oxford is an upscale pub in downtown Sunnyvale. Its specialty are its variety of mix drinks, each of which is served in crystal clear ice. I personally recommend the Oxford Burger, it's deliciously juicy!

This place has a great atmosphere and the servers are great. I got the fish and chips and thought they were okay. I’ve definitely had better fish and chips. Still recommend trying. I don’t drink but my friend who comes here often has had their cocktails and thoroughly enjoys them. If I did drink this would probably be a 5 star review!

Absolutely exceptional food, beyond impressive staff, relaxing atmosphere. Attention to detail unlike most places I have been to in the Bay Area. I had the Potato Gnocchi and strawberry Cheesecake. Complimented well with a wonderful cup of coffee made in a french press right in front of me. I shall be returning to this delightful restaurant anytime I am in the area.

In general, this was pretty good. I enjoyed the fish and chips. The only problem was that we were initially seated outside and there was a crazy flock of crows flying above being noisy and occasionally dropping things on our table. We had to move inside.

Wonderful English-styled restaurant located in downtown Sunnyvale offering a variety of snacks, drinks, alcoholic beverages, and meals, in a comfortable setting. Highlights are the food which is pretty unique and the happy hour menu and prices. Can be busy at times with limited staffing. [The Food] We were impressed with the menu items they offered here. We ordered a chicken pot pie and a TriTip sandwich, but they have all sorts of things from Jamaican Curried Goat, Chicken Tikka Masala, Salads, and other really unique items that seemed to have an English twist to them. Definitely worth coming for the food. [The Setting] This is one of the first restaurants you'll see on the Murphy Ave strip. They have a nice bar table which faces outward to the street, as well as plenty of outdoor seating and indoor seating. I really liked all the artwork and thought they put into the theme of the restaurant. It was really clean and well kept. [The Service] The service was great here. The wait was a bit much for the time but I understand many places are understaffed right now. The food and setting made it worth it, just had to drink an extra beer while waiting! All the servers were really friendly and super fast when it came to asking us if we needed anything, etc. Definitely recommended!

Came here on Friday night for dinner. We had outdoor seating right next to the historic Murphy Ave arch. The lamb kabob with pilaf rice dish that I ordered had a nice presentation; however, after seeing an old photo of the same dish uploaded by another customer, it used to be served with 5 halves of the kabab instead of just 4 halves, and instead of tomatoes and red onion garnish on the plate, it used to be served with a side salad with leafy greens. That and another dish of the salad with a few pieces of avocado and red quinoa sprinkled on top tasted okay. My friend drank only half of the skinny margarita that she ordered, which was a bit on the strong side. The server gave us the dinner menu towards the end of our meal to consider ordering desserts, but I was unimpressed with the two listed dessert items and asked for the check instead as I was trying hard to avoid eye contact the entire time with the homeless guy who sat on a bench near the restaurant with his shopping cart.

This place has a great vibe, vegetarian friendly yummy options, strong & tasty cocktails and nice service. My favorites are the tomato soup and gnocchi. Once I was served a non-veg dish wrongly which gravely upset me. I wasn't super thrilled with the way this was handled. The manager wasn't willing to compensate and didn't appear apologetic as well. But I have forgiven that episode and moved on. Hopefully they will be more careful and empathetic.

Dined outside on Murphy Avenue with family. The Oxford was absolutely delightful. The fish ‘n chips is great as expected, but we also all really enjoyed the Pear & Avocado Salad appetizer. It’s glazed with a very nice dressing that compliments everything well. The servers were exceptional and friendly. We will definitely be back.

Stopped in here Friday night. It wasn’t too busy and we were able to grab an outdoor table and order our food and drinks through our phone. My friend and I both had the Pimm’s Cup and split an order of fries. I also ordered the chicken kebab and hummus. The cocktail and fries were great! The chicken kebab was ok…hummus was a little lacking in flavour and a bit thin. Only three stars because my friend’s food order came out significantly later than my dish and she didn’t like her food (the steak sandwich) at all. The waiter was very apologetic about the delay with her food and provided a complimentary dessert. The dessert was her favourite part of the meal. I would come back for a drink but would consider checking out some reviews for what to order because I don’t think either of us would order the same entres if we return.

Personal Note - serving size for Fish & Chips was a tad too much, filled up on the fish and couldn't finish the chips or mushy peas. The above said however - 'Fish & Chips' was awesome, both parts were cooked to perfection (hot and crispy). Served with Mushy Peas which had a great flavour as well. Service was prompt but the ordering was done via a QR code...no biggie there once I figured out how to change between drinks and food on the website that opened up after scanning the code. Would eat & drink (cocktails) here again.

Ordered takeout from the Oxford for the first time this year. So glad it’s back and as tasty as we remembered. I had the lamb curry on rice. The kids had the chicken sandwich which they devoured before I could get a photos. We split all the chicken pot pie. Everything was great.

Delicious, they do so many different styles of food so well. Tried the paneer tikka masala, gnocchi, avocado salad, all delicious and beautifully plated. I don't eat meat, but my parents do and they also loved their jamaican goat curry and shepherd's pie (or so I'm told).
