My wife and I broke down 4 hours from home on 1/2 and had to stay overnight in Mifflinville. I called Shaffer's and Cole was ready, willing, and able to help. He towed our vehicle that night from a hotel parking lot and worked on it for several hours the next day trying to find what was wrong. Oddly enough, after all diagnostic testing was completed, he could not find what was wrong and the vehicle was running perfectly. He could've easily charged us quite a bit and told us numerous things were wrong and replaced things; however, he was completely honest and reasonable. He even checked on us the next morning to make sure we made it home and the vehicle was still running as it should. I highly recommend Shaffer's.

I've gotten my inspection done here for 2 years now and it's always a pleasure. I have bad anxiety and they never make me feel like I'm stupid. This year they noticed a wheel bearing needed changed even though it's not part of the inspection. I'm glad they look out for their customers! I appreciate and love this place. After we got the car we still heard a noise, they fit us in real quick. We dropped the car off the night before and got it the next day. It was a simple fix and cost us nothing. It was a good peace of mind!

The guys down at Shaffers did a great job with the work I needed done, were honest about what was wrong with my car what had to be fixed right away and what could wait and even came in a little under the estimate. The car is running great now, thanks guys.

From the first call, I dealt with Cole. Extremely professional. This business Rocks with professionals. Made an appointment for 10 AM. I pulled into parking lot at 9 AM. Then went inside. Cole greeted me at the door. I saw they were busy. Cars in every nasty and the place is neat and orderly. I want to mention. Get there early and have a meal at Morriens screws the street. Awesome place with awesome food. I stayed there 45 minutes. I saw my car was in the shop. I walked back over to the Shop and Cole said all the work was done and the Mechanic was test driving it. Three were very honest and did not just add services. He did as he said, and only replaced what was needed. Great job. On time. Well below any other shop I found in the area. Go there. They can be trusted.

Decent guy. Helped out a woman with a tire she bought from me, worked late to get it done. I got the tire off the car, took her, the tire she bought from me, her flat on the rim over to him. Installed the new tire and wheel back on her car so she could get home to her kids. Two good deeds to help someone in need. Mr. Shaffer didn't know the good deed he was doing helping her out.

We were from out of the area heading to Wilkes Barre. Car overheated. Belt broke. Were towed to Shaffers. Cole and his guys repaired the car, water pump, but it didn't seem right to him. He ended up having to change the dampener pulley. The car is 30 years old but he found the parts. Back to it's old self running wise. Excellent place and really good prices.
