It’s taken months for me to grow my brows to be as thick as they were in the first picture, using serums and rogaine. I came to Miss Wu since I wanted to clean up my brows and didn’t wanted to wait until I went to my brow lady back at home. I emphasized repeatedly that I like them thick and full, I just want them lightly cleaned up. I couldn’t have been more specific. Well, this is the worst wax I’ve ever gotten. And I’ve gotten many. Worse than the waxes from the nail salon, too. It’s gonna take me a long while to get my brows as thick and full as they were before. To be fair, I did receive a refund. However, the service was not satisfactory, and I will not be coming back. First picture was the day before my wax (with a brow gel to make them look more cleaned up) and second picture is directly after, third picture is a few days after.

Miss Wu was so lovely! She’s professional, yet very welcoming and made sure I was comfortable throughout my visit. She made lovely conversation which helped distract from the waxing discomfort (it’s inevitable), though as far as waxing experiences go, this one one of the best! I’m not always a strip wax fan either, but she did a great job and it was less painful than I expected. I’ll definitely be back!

The best wax I have had in 7 years in Ithaca! This salon has a serene, clean, calm spa atmosphere. Wu was very sweet, kind and friendly and also did an excellent job! The pricing is excellent for the quality of service and she offers student discounts. I tried different salons in Ithaca in the past but was always disappointed. This time I was so happy and impressed. I will definitely come back. Please support this high quality, Black owned business!

Had an absolutely fantastic waxing experience with Wu! She's super friendly and professional. The salon is charming, well-maintained, and very pretty. I was a bit jittery for my first wax, but Wu's encouragement and step-by-step guidance made it a bearable and positive experience!

I moved from FL a few weeks ago. I’ve been threading my brows since I was 13, the last time I waxed was 3 years ago. I was going to go to a threading place at a mall but they ended up being closed. I was looking through reviews and I’m so glad I came here instead! She was so sweet, gentle, and has a BEAUTIFUL voice! I cannot recommend this place enough. She did exactly what I wanted! Also, she respects clients requests. I have very bushy eyebrows and usually people like experimenting when you only say you want to get them cleaned, but not her! I cannot wait to come back :)

Heard too many good things to not tap in… she lived up to the hype. Super welcoming environment, the music was fire, and she let me be a little goofy on her table while I sweat bullets! Coming back soon!!!!

I was nervous at first but I went in for a chin/neck wax and her place is extremely inviting and the vibe is so nice. She was extremely nice and quick and definitely one of the least painful waxes I’ve ever experienced. I am very happy I ended up coming here and will definitely be back. Scheduling was also incredibly easy.
