I booked the Chuck line ride with D & K. My guide Jolene has a phenomenal talent with horses and great eye for their well being as well as my safety. We chatted horses the whole almost two hour ride through dark shaded forest, across open pastures and through creeks with beautiful vistas of Seneca lake along the way. We rode past the ranch’s adorable accommodations and though I didn’t stay there overnight the various cabins and outdoor spaces have the charm and tranquility of the West. Great spot, great hosts, definitely check them out!

Had a wonderful weekend adventure at D&K Ranch. The Wranglers were friendly and accommodating from the moment I arrived. I enjoyed two on site horseback rides, and a National Forrest ride. The horses were sound, the guides were knowledgeable and the sights were gorgeous. I stayed in The Silo, which was as cute as it was comfy. Bathrooms were clean, outdoor kitchen was stocked, walking paths were well lit at night. Close to two of the finger lakes, many waterfalls and several hikes. Perfect stay!

We recently stayed at D&K ranch and had a wonderful time with our dogs. There are plenty of trails for walking/riding and the location is great to reach wineries at the southern ends of Cayuga and Seneca lakes. The cabin was clean and comfortable. There is no TV or wifi- so its a great place to check out. The outdoor kitchen was very nice to have - coffee is available in the morning and hot water for tea. Our cabin had a small fridge as well to keep a few items. Kelly (the owner) was great and got us settled in our cabin quickly- next time we'll likely rent the large house on the property!!

We love it up here! We try to make it up here at least once a year. The staff is amazing, super friendly, helpful, accommodating and fun. The trails are very pretty. The horses are well cared for. We highly recommend this ranch and we will definitely be back!!!

Low points - we had to leave at the end of our stay 😔 High points - we are coming back at some point 😂 Enjoyed our stay, Kelly is amazing, if I could, I would give her 100 stars. We ventured to many different places in Finger lakes, swimming, walks, eating. For D & K Ranch alone, we loved the cabins we were in, the seclusion, and the riding!!! We have vowed to come back again, balance out the riding and going out. My daughter loved the fire pit to make s’mores. Open kitchen etc. Everything was well thought out, and I cannot praise Kelly enough for going all out to make our stay memorable. Wonderful memories made here.

All your senses are awakened here. A truly relaxing place to unplug. Kelly the host, all the wranglers, and other guests on the ranch were polite, friendly, helpful, and respectful. My sister and I stayed here for 3 nights from Thursday-Sunday in JB’s Cabin named after a beloved horse. That cabin has a beautiful view of the barn. It also has no electricity. It was no issue for as we were truly immersed in the experience. It was simply decorated but had just the right touch so it did not feel bare and cold. Instead it was welcoming and relaxing. I woke up to the birds and sun rising every morning and sometimes the rooster, but that’s ranch life. Outside the cabin was a fire pit and two additional places to sit where you could see the horses and the barn, which is shared with Max’s Cabin identical to ours. A short walk away from the cabin was the bathhouse with electricity, 2 toilets, 1 sick, and 1 shower. It is also decorated adorably with a quote about ranch hair and little cowgirl boots. They use branches from trees on the property to make hooks! The bathhouse was very clean and had fresh towels daily. Just passed that is the outdoor kitchen. The outdoor kitchen has outlets, lanterns, bug spray, plates, paper towels, cooking utensils, two tables, a grill, griddle, fridge, sink, and more. We made use of the outdoor kitchen everyday. In this area is also a fire pit, darts, corn hole, and plenty of seating. There is another fire pit in this area and darts. We went horse back riding on Saturday morning and had such an enjoyable experience we went again the next day before checking out. During check out Kelly rode the pony’s with a carriage to to help guest carry luggage to the car. I was told it was a five minute walk but I truly believe it was closer to 2 minutes. It was part of the experience. Bottom line if you want an outdoorsy getaway you will not regret staying here. I am looking forward to the day I return to D&K Ranch! Oh don’t forget to explore the property on your own, ask questions, and talk to other guests. Be sure to explore the sounding areas of the Finger Lakes which has farms, breweries, vineyards, waterfalls, and so much more. There are two additional cabins on the property with electricity and there is a house on the property that are also available to rent. Start planning your getaway!

I brought my 12 year old son here for his first time riding. I have some riding experience and my husband is a beginner. The staff at D&K Ranch took care of all of us. I love that they let us choose the horses that fit our needs and temperament and that they took the time to instruct us and let us get comfortable. I also love their treatment and philosophy of their horses - they are rescues and previously owned. Through care, patience, and positivity these horses have a second chance at a good life. And the trails and grounds are absolutely lovely. Great riding experience and one of the best parts of our vacation!
