Went by this sweet place with a ton of history as a recommendation from my cousin. She told us to order the crispy chicken appetizer and a pink horse. We also had some chowder since it was the soup of the day. Great atmosphere, service and food! My wife and I both had wished we were hungrier. Would definitely go back!

Wow! The food was great. The service was excellent also. We dropped by and we were so lucky as we got seated right away. But I recommend that you make reservation as this place is a local favorite so you may have to wait over an hour if you don’t have a reservation. I had fish and chips which was out of this world. But they have so many other delicious selections. They have bar section, indoor dining area and outside dining area. We ate indoors where there are so many historical artifacts o you feel like you are back in George Washington days. They have ample parking right in front of the pub/restaurant with beautiful flowers. Price is very reasonable and the food was delicious!!

Great food! Loved sitting outside by the stream. Akaushi burger and shepherds pie were delicious! Beware the nachos they are very tasty and filling. Lovely atmosphere.

Another one of those places you get in the car and drive out of the way for good comfort food, fireplace and good drinks. Met a friend there for birthday dinner and stayed about 2 hours. Left with just as much food as I ordered. Started with pear and blue cheese salad (which was enough for us to share). Dined on the authentic homemade pot pie and a fireside toddy. The golden brown baked puff pastry with the mounted "horse on top" served over piped whipped mash potatoes was divine. Definitely made with love and handled with care. We saved room for dessert and couldn't pass up sharing the Wisdom Pie. Thin slice, but oh so tasty. The dusted cinnamon was a perfect companion to the rich caramel center. Def worth the drive. Will gas up and head that way soon!

I've been here quite a few times over the years and the service and quality is always pretty average. Recently I stopped in at the bar and had the house made veggie burger on a brioche roll with sauteed spinach and mashed potatoes..burger was delicious, spinach was soggy but tasty and mashed potatoes were dry and tasteless. I guess it's unavoidable with the outdoor patio but there always seems to be an annoying fly or two buzzing around. The atmosphere here makes it worthwhile with quite a few historical items to check out including an amazing Indian motorcycle placed inside a case behind the bar.

The service at the white horse is awesome ! Definitely one of the best in the area. Food is also always great. My favorite (a little basic) is the fish and chips. I love that they give you a mix of regular fries and sweet potato ! Yum! Reasonable prices too.

Almost left but ended up quite a great exp. Sat in the bar and the bartender was just amazing. Great team of people working here. They care. The food was top notch. Nachos to start, the I had the fish and chips, Ali had the shepards pie. All hot and cooked to order. If you know you are going call for a reservation. We will drive the 1.5 hours back just to eat here. Great atmosphere to.

Just stopped here for food after strawberry picking. Great spot! English style pub fare, but alot of choices and everything was absolutely delicious!

One of the most satisfying dining experiences in awhile. Shepherd's pie and Guinness, ending with a bread pudding with bourbon sauce and coffee. One very minor "disappointment", the Guinness should be served in a Guinness glass. All in all a fabulous afternoon. Love the place.

Went for early dinner, the atmosphere and the food are always spot on but the service was very disappointing Sat at high top near the bar and the Wait staff took a while to check in, when we finally ordered drinks my choice wasn't available due to them running out of 1 ingredient, gave us a min which was like 10. Different Wait staff came to get food order so we finally ordered our drinks and food and that was it.,..never checked on us again, no do you need another drink, no refill our water, not even how's your food? The one pleasant person was our food runner. Food was delicious and if we return it will be only for that reason. Maybe it was an off day but disappointed.
