After spending a week at the Cliffhouse, we have a new definition of "perfect" and it lies at 150 Door of Faith RD. We are so lucky to have chosen this beautiful place for our honeymoon. The outdoor shower is amazing in the morning, midday and nighttime. The splash pool is private and ideal for midday cool-offs. The view overlooking the waterfall and ocean NEVER gets old and provides the most tranquil vista. The sunrises are what dreams are made of, we'll never forget our first one the morning after we arrived: the valley appears pitch black before the sun starts slowly spilling light over the luscious rain forest. The backyard waterfall is one of the most beautiful and stunning throughout all of Maui. The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and totally made us feel like VIPs. The place itself was immaculate, clean and simply magical. The kitchen was stocked with every utensil our meals required. PRO TIPS: do the farm tour & sauna, sleep in the guest house when it rains, take coffee on the sun deck closest to the waterfall, and frequently pinch yourself because we are certain our time here was an absolute dream. Hale Akua is a beautiful retreat, resort, AirBnB, hotel, good rooms, hot tubs, great views, in a rainforest. Nice friendly Owner, good service. They grow lots of food, eggs, chickens Organic fish, bananas, mushrooms etc...Halfway to Hana from the big surf called Jaws, Off the scenic Hana Hwy. I highly recommend it, and their Music Yoga, Spiritual events. It's the cheapest rooms on Maui.

A truly magical place! We stayed in the waterfall room, and I started crying when I walked in because it is absolutely the most beautiful place I have ever stayed. With private decks, a private hot tub, a private pool, a round bed with a view of the moonrise , and a building based on sacred geometry... I was in awe! A dream come true. I absolutely recommend Hale Akua!

Best retreat center in all of Maui and Hawaii! Breathtaking views and and lushness of the tropical jungles makes you connect with nature so effortlessly. Will recommend this place to anyone and everyone visiting Hawaii!

If you don’t stay here, you absolutely have to do the farm tour here. Joe runs the whole farm and puts his heart and soul into it and it’s so intriguing to hear about the tour from someone so invested in this place. Hale Akua is very very Lucky to have such a kind, skilled, and knowledgeable person running the farm. We got to try some awesome fruits and learn about sustainable farming. Thank you for a one of a kind experience!! Not to mention how beautiful it was just to visit.

Maui unspoiled and full of nature. Perched high above a lush jungle valley with amazing view of the ocean, this oasis is for you if you want a peaceful getaway. Beautiful swimming pools, hot tubs and jacuzzi, make this a romantic, secluded destination. 30 minutes from Kahului Airport on the road to Hana, work out your shopping and food arrangements before you arrive because it’s out there away from civilization. Wi-Fi on the property. All natural paradise.

My husband and I have stayed at the Cliff House and Waterfall house. The views and accomodations at both are worth it, particularly if you plan to spend a lot of your trip as the home relaxing. Hale Akua is well landscaped and quiet making it a great location to unplug or have a romantic getaway.
