The one place you need to stop if you’re in the Port Clinton area on vacation! Amazing interactive displays for young and old alike to experience. Friendly helpful staff that will answer all your questions about what places are the best to visit in the area. Very clean inside around displays and well kept, clean public restrooms. Lake Erie Shores and Islands will have a current calendar of events in the area so you can know exactly what is happening. You can pick up a travel guide or brochures from any area attractions while inside, or order a travel guide from their website. The building and parking lot are handicap accessible and plenty of parking available right outside the building. Easy to find location that is right off a main road. Highly recommend stopping and checking it out!

I always stop here on my way to the Lake Erie area. Each year they publish a visitors guide the contains a discount coupon for area vendors and attractions. The staff of the Visitor Center are knowledgeable and friendly. Inside the center are clean restrooms, attractions, maps and activities for young and old. You won't regret stopping here!

This place easily deserves all 5 stars. Such an impressive visitors center with all the exhibits and information available. Spoke with the girls working the desk about making sure the hours get corrected on the Google page, it was reading closed, but they in fact open on Saturday from 9am - 2pm. I was able to get some more information about future trips to the area. The restroom facilities was nice and clean. Glad I didn't miss out on this even though it stated closed and I stopped to check.

Went in here to get some postcards to send back home to my family, and the ladies were so so nice. They gave us time to look around before asking if we needed any help and were overall such nice ladies :)

The Shores and Islands welcome center is very well stocked with information on the area. The welcome center guides are knowledgeable and will help with plans. Nice restrooms too.
