We stayed at the Bamboo cabin! It was very peaceful and we slept very well to the sounds of the coqui frogs! Clean, well-maintained and we loved the eco-friendly nature of the whole experience!

We absolutely loved our time here! We stayed four nights in the Garden Cottage and it was the perfect way to decompress after a long flight. Very clean and private. We could see a bit of the sun set from our porch. We enjoyed fresh coffee and bananas from the farm for breakfast. We even had a visit from a cute little pup which was perfect since we were missing our own. It was different than a sterile hotel room that we were used to but loved the experience and set the tone for island life. Thank you for sharing your accommodations.

This tented site is nicely situated for a relaxed & adventurous getaway on the Kona coast. The tent is roomy with an indoor toilet; the queensize bed is very comfortable; & the outdoor shower is perfect for cleaning up after an adventurous day. The kitchen is very limited, but serviceable, so some creativity is required for meal prepping; & the camp is located in a rainforest, so there will be rain & frogs. All part of the adventure!

Amazing place. We loved it so much there it was difficult to drag ourselves away and go sightseeing! Such a garden of paradise and an amazing outdoor kitchen and shower. We loved every moment of our stay and have already recommended it on to lots of others!

I absolutely loved staying here! I was traveling as a solo gal and I felt safe and comfortable through my entire stay. The property is absolutely beautiful and it was a magical place to wake up to. I flew into Kona somewhat late and did have a hard time with directions- I would just suggest making sure you know where you’re going as Apple Maps led me astray at first. But the hosts helped me find it and once there I was in actual paradise. Thank you to Gingerhill Farm!

I spent a few days at Gingerhill Farm, and I wish I could have stayed longer. It was a calm and tranquil space, and the full kitchen and outdoor dining area made for a lovely way to start the day, sipping coffee on the lanai. I stayed in the Bamboo Cabin, and as nestled as it is in a bamboo grove, it felt like I had the whole place to myself. The nocturnal serenade of night-creatures and view of the stars were glorious, and the outdoor shower and composting toilet were pristine. Highly recommended, and would love to stay again when I’m back on Big Island!

This was an amazing place to stay. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. Also nothing beats being able to wakeup to beautiful sunrise surrounded by nature! Love it would come again.

If you love a natural outdoor tropical environment , sounds of birds at night, a serene meditative quiet setting , this is your paradise. Accommodations were comfortable but kept to simple essentials. No yoga classes or other on-site events were available at the time of our visit. We rented a car, prepared most of our meals on a single gas burner( sufficient for our needs), and spent most of our time touring the island. Would love to return and highly recommend this place to my friends who are experienced travelers.
