The mental health industry needs an overhaul in general, I don't think anyone can argue that. Places like this are exactly the reason why. Mental health patients need empathy, understanding, patience - none of which Zumbro Valley Health can provide. Individuals with disabilities like BPD, Bi-Polar Disorder, etc literally cannot help or control whether or not they have it and Zumbro Valley treats these individuals as if they have a choice. Control or threats of loss of care or case management when patients are struggling is the least helpful thing ever. Please don't respond with a "call so and so", we all know that's literally just words. Instead try to be better, do better, become a leader in the field, open your minds and treat mental health needs fluidly and not militantly.

I was a patience at ZVMH for over 30 years and everything went good tell now. Ive been treated badly. I quit ZVMH center yesterday after I tried to speak to staff there about picking up my meds. I was treated like a child and hung up on. I called back asking for a supervisor and the resepsunust hung up on me. I hope they dont do that to some one more severely mentaly ill and cause there suicide would they even care . Ty ZVMH for showing me its not ok fir me to be mentally ill. Sorry I was si ill that you all have ti yell at me and make me feel worse about my life. Don't worry I wint be back to waste your precious time. Im sorry I reached out to your staff. It wint happen again. This well be reported to the State Of Minnesota I do have that right and well surly use it. You people call yourself professionals.ok to all my mentaly ill brothers and sisters don't let them treat you this way. There is places to report this abuse. Love you all and God Bless

Just spent a few days here in detox and I wish I'd never gone. I went in there voluntarily and the staff was extremely rude, had zero empathy, and were very condescending. Started going through nicotine withdrawal a few hours in and had to go to them crying and begging for help before they finally gave me a benadryl. I also told them that I was having epilepsy symptoms and the only additional thing they did to help was give me an addivan a couple hours later and told me to stay hydrated. Facilities are awful too. Extremely depressing and feels like you're in prison. One previous inmate described the food there as prison food. Also an FYI, won't let you keep anything but the clothes on your back. Only cool staff were the counselors. I could spend an hour writing more but I'm so tired from my stay that I need to sleep for a week.

My brother goes threw Zumbro Valley an today I witnessed them talking to a mental ill pacient "my brother" an told him they were going to hang up on him an they did. Just because I missed one appointment because our phones were done an now they won't give him his meds. Not right. An they wouldn't even let Jeff explain they just hung up. I sure hope they don't treat all there mentally ill client's this way.... Time to change pharmacys an Drs. I am very shocked at the way they treated him an never would expect them to be like that. Then called back to main dest an lady there even had a additude with him an said" stop yelling at me an he wasn't. He was tryin to talk. Dr. Wilson needs to retire. Wonder if he ever missed an appointment... My fact is ... Taking meds away for no reason is not ok in my an others eyes. Then having someone give him a shot that had no clue of what there doing. Time to switch places

Workshop a lot of donations doesn't keep painting organizers wants to keep pushing people in and out it's all about their quota but nothing about anything with them can work or any figure trying to do anything good it's just a very commanding environment is not very social at all

First time they refused to help set up a new patient to help. Odd business that refuses to help new people. Second time they called after I got a referral and they denied the referral request due to not having the right insurance to get the therapy. I don't get it with this place.

I’ve had my last two appointments in a row cancelled the day of, with no alternatives (zoom, alternate provider, etc.). The nearest time to see my provider again is typically 3 weeks out, which means I’ve gone months without a checkin from my therapist. I personally feel that this is a safety concern as these appointments are important to maintaining my health, and it is also incredibly time consuming and frustrating to schedule appointments 3-4 weeks out that have been cancelled the day of the appointment. An email or a phone call from my provider would have helped immensely, I understand appointments need to be cancelled, but am very disappointed in the level of care I received here.

The girls in the pharmacy work really well together very caring. I have one of the best case managers whose willing to go the extra mile and then some. During my assessment I was paired with a really good therapist which I'm still getting to know, but, I really like her. Great team!!
