Very cool spot to visit. It’s not very big but it’s right next to whitefish dunes state park, which has an awesome beach. If you have little ones in your group keep a close watch on them here. The ground is uneven lots of potential trip points and there aren’t any fences or anything next to the edges which are shear straight into the water.

Everytime I come up to door county I make sure I visit. It was a relatively calm day when we visited, the waves crashing against the bluffs were small. But the sound was still amazing. If you're able to get here on a windy day it's even better. Coming here during winter is even a better, totally different experience. Just watch the ice that will be getting everywhere. There is a main trail that follows the coast and keeps you from the edge, if you're afraid of walking near an edge you will be fine. There are also some trails in the woods which are usually pretty empty compared to the coast. There can be a lot of people standing near you near the edges as well, just be mindful of your surroundings. You will not be disappointed with your visit.

Small but super cool park, especially in the winter! It’s located in Whitefish Dunes State Park so after you checkout the cliffs you can explore that too. No facilities open now, lots and roads well plowed and maintained. It is extremely slippery!! The ice goes all the way up the path, so you are essentially walking on ice everywhere. When it says no unsupervised kids, they aren’t joking.

I absolutely love this place! My Alabama cousin and wife came to Wisconsin for a visit. We didn't know what early May would be like, but the water was a breathtakung turquoise and rich blue while the hike along the water and through the brush was beautiful.

Definitely worth the hype! We walked the entire shoreline on Sunday, February 20th. The waves were huge and it was pretty slippery along the rocks, I would recommend wearing spikes on your boots for safety and staying a safe distance back. There is plenty of parking even though it is a busy place.

First time visiting since we had heard a lot about it! We visited on a very cold day, with bright sunshine, and stayed about 45 minutes. We walked along the ice away from the parking area and then back. The waves were crashing loudly! Plenty of parking available. Restrooms appeared to be open. Will likely return in the summer to see the difference.

Gorgeous! Worth the drive up the peninsula. Short walk to see the cliffs. A bit breezy - but the waves were beautiful! The rain held off too!

It was a cold and wet day so we couldn't stay as long as I would have liked to, but we saw the place where the waves crash into a horseshoe-shaped opening. There was even a young couple having their prom pictures taken there because of the beautiful scenery. We could see the other caves from that area and then we walked a little way to the rocky beach where people have built cairns.

First time visiting this park in the handful of times coming to Door County and it was beautiful! We lucked out with big waves coming in from the east on this day, so we were able to watch the waves crash on the shoreline. Beautiful sites and sounds, definitely a place I'd highly recommend checking out! That being said, make sure to keep an eye on your kids if you come as there are trip and slip risks here!

This place is wild and wonderful. Incredible views from above of the waves crashing on the rocks at several vantage points. You can feel the deep sounds vibrating through your body, almost like thunder from below. Not for the faint of heart or perhaps for small children, as there are no barriers on the bluffs, and there are even a few surprising spots on the trail with unmarked holes that could put you in a pickle if you fell through! Step with care. But if you like your hikes a tiny bit spicy, this one will reward you with an utterly unique experience. As a county park, it is also free, whereas the state park next door costs money to enter.

Excellent snowshoeing and beautiful frozen features all winter. Exercise caution if you are nearing the edge of the ice as Wisconsin natives will tell you it has a bit of a dangerous reputation in the colder seasons. Unfortunately tourists leave little rock statues all over the place in the summer which takes away from the natural aspect of the serene rock beaches. One of Door County's hidden gems.

Nice little park to bring your dog or enjoy your lunch. Trails near the park are accessible by foot but as you go further out the trails become much more aggressive. Would recommend parking here if you're hiking to whitefish (save $8 on parking).

My favorite place in Door County. It looks even prettier from the water. I highly recommend going kayaking. You’ll have a great experience doing so.

Definitely not strollers along the shoreline. Kids could walk if they aren't running instantly. Little unsafe for them. But nice views. It's a free park.

Beautiful! Must see during all seasons! Summer is amazing for walking and exploring while the frozen waters of winter are truly a sight to be seen! The drive in and out is also very pretty!

Short hiking trails along the shore were great, loved all the rocks. Water was very clear. Cliff jumped here in the past and was fun but water was a little shallow that day. Beautiful place!

Love cave point! Tons of walking and beach not far! Be careful though you are on a rock ledge!

Very beautiful park, the waves were pounding the shoreline with 5-6 foot waves, you definitely wouldn’t fall off into the water, you’re about 15-20 feet above the water, spectacular wave action against the rocky shoreline, very uneven walking paths, but would like to return!!

I must see in Door County. One of the most unique Parks I've ever been to. Great place to go kayaking as well. A photographer's dream!

This is a beautiful park. It was a very easy walk along the lake. You walk in the forest and cut into the lake to see the bluffs, or dip your toes in the water. In the middle of the trail, you transition into the state park and get to the dunes/beach. Highly recommend.

I can’t believe the sheer beauty of this park. It was a very short walk to some gorgeous views - people of all ages and athletic abilities will find it easily accessible. There is some rough terrain by way of roots as you get further along the path, but nothing too serious. The water is so clear and the cliffs are incredible. I would spend every day here if I could.

Always a fun stop when in Door County no matter the weather. In the summer the water is gorgeous & in the winter the ice build-up is fascinating. In spring & fall the colors & trails are great for a quick easy hike along the coast.

Gorgeous locale and Lake Michigan at its best. Lovely scenery and colors all around. Good hiking trails, the terrain can be rough sometimes, but it was very nice to see both young and old people enjoying the walks. Would love to visit again.

A must-see when visiting Door County. Gorgeous spot in the summer; many kids diving from the rocks and swimming below. Also great for kayaking. Stunning overlook of Lake Michigan year-round. Hope to see the icicles hanging from the stones during winter one day!

Small park but so much fun! We arrived to check out if jumping from rocks was an actual thing. The first day we stopped nobody was doing it.. the waves were extremely rough so it certainly didn't seem to be a good idea. We stopped the next morning and got there just in time to see a kayak guide showing his tour where to jump. We went and grabbed our kids to give it a try! They were in heaven!! So much so we went back for a second day and even this middle aged mom gave it a go! We had so much free family fun!

Cave Point County Park is one of the most beautiful and unique places we’ve visited during our many adventures. The water has countless shades of cerulean blue and is so crystal clear you can see every detail at the bottom. A local was telling us that we were lucky to visit on a day when we could reach the rocks at the waters edge. This park is known for its crashing waves which make a loud thumping sound as the water slams against the inner walls of the caves along the edge of the bluffs.
