he Reflection Lakes en route to Mount Rainier in Washington State are a serene and easily accessible stop that adds extra beauty to your journey. In August 2023, I was captivated by the calm waters reflecting Mount Rainier, creating a picture-perfect scene for photographers and nature lovers. Wildlife sightings are a bonus, and the convenience of a quick stop makes it ideal for all travelers. Just be prepared for changing weather conditions. In summary, Reflection Lakes are a must-visit spot on your way to Mount Rainier, offering a tranquil and memorable pause in the Pacific Northwest's natural beauty.

Must visit spot in Mt. Rainier NP. Visited on a sunny day on our way to Paradise but it was little windy and didn’t see the reflection. Nice place to have a short walk, very peaceful and beautiful spot. Parking is limited along the roadside.

Beautiful place, definitely worth stopping by. But be careful, we encountered a bear right by the sidewalk where everyone was. Luckily the bear wasn’t aggressive or worried about all the people taking pictures and video but still should be aware of your surroundings. And you won’t be able to see much of a reflection if the sun and the weather is not right.

Stunning views of Mt Rainer reflected off the lake. Beautiful for sunset. Very busy spot. If you aren't already in the park, expect a long line of cars for entry (possibly up to 3 hours!). Take the trail around the lake to escape the crowds and enjoy beautiful views.

One of the must-visit attractions in Mount Rainier National Park is Reflection Lake. You simply cannot miss it be it a sunny day or not. Thankfully the day we visited was fully shiny and bright, hence we could see the reflection. It certainly looks out of the books, it's really hard to believe that something could be so picturesque. The view reminded me of many pictures and the fridge magnets that I had seen with the reflection lake's picture on them. There are a couple of benches to sit and enjoy the view. However, when we visited the area was under maintenance so you could not touch the water or go into it. Besides that, you will still enjoy the view as you see the shadow move from left to right as the day progresses.

Reflection Lake offers a mystical experience for those fortunate enough to witness its calm, mirror-like waters capturing the imposing elegance of Mount Rainier. The lake, nestled amidst nature’s abundant splendor, provides an ethereal view, making every visit a memorable photographic opportunity. However, patience and a dash of luck are your companions, as the lake’s tranquil waters revealing the iconic reflection are not a daily guarantee. This natural gem, a blend of elusive grace and scenic beauty, warrants a visit for both the ardent nature enthusiast and the casual visitor.

A must if your in the area on a decent day. It’s a very short easy hike to get the main view of Mt Rainier reflecting on the lake. Road side pull off views are available also but you won’t get the full mountain reflection from those

This is one of the best places in the Mount Rainier National Park. Every time we go to the Mount Rainier, we visit the Reflection Lake. Officers are very polite and helpful as always. They recommended best places to take pictures and watch the mount. I really suggest people going there and watching this nature beauty.
