Fascinating location. The ghost tours are interesting and they take it very seriously. Whether it's haunted or not, the place has a heavy aura, as most places saturated with death do. All of the money for the tours go into the upkeep of the house and the employees, making it a nonprofit. Definitely worth it if you're interested in haunted history. PS, I think that rambunctious child ghost untied my dang shoe in the basement.

Easy to locate and purchase tickets. Guide went at a good pace and always asked if we had any questions. Group was rather large, but besides that tour was great.

Had a fabulous experience on the Paranormal Investigation. Our guide, Evelyn, was amazing. She gave a very informative tour and was very helpful during our time there. I'm excited to say, we did have some interaction with spirit. Would live to do this again some time.

Absolutely enjoyed it. A well preserved dwelling giving a peek into a different time. Everything appeared to be as accurate as they could be. However, if you're doing the architectural tour they do not touch on any ghost elements. They also do not cover and controversies that have surround the house. Unfortunately, they don't really even mention the atrocities of slavery or the negative effects it might have had on Sorrel's enslaved individuals...in particular an enslaved lady, Molly. If you're only going to view the beautiful structure and the antiques preserved inside please go. You won't be disappointed. Our tour guide was a young, local, college student with a great attitude and answered any questions we had. She was awesome.

Had a wonderful time on the Sorrel Weed House tour. Our tour guide, Janie, was truly wonderful: informational, personable, and her voice was heard anywhere on the tour (a problem I've have on some of my other tour experiences). This tour was very authentic - not cheesy or looking for the shock value. You get to hear some very interesting and sad history to understand the potential of paranormal experience in the house while enjoying the beautiful museum. 10/10 tour!

Whether you believe in the supernatural or not, you can’t deny the beautiful architecture and fascinating history of the property. Janie did a great job this evening delivering the history of the house and giving visitor anecdotal experiences (and some photos as well). We felt that it was worth the time and cost. Great stories and a beautiful property!

This house has so much history. Definitely visit this museum if you have the chance while in Savannah, GA. I wished I would have taken more pictures while we were there. I was more so focused on what our tour guide was saying that I didn't take my phone out until I saw the piano. Man, it was a beauty to see. I also was able to play a note or two on it. The basement was the best part of the tour. Great experience. 👍🏾

If you can get a tour with Jovy, you're in for a treat! Jovy's extremely knowledgeable of the home, history of the Sorrel-Weed families that once lived there and backs everything up with documented proof. The daytime (Architectural Tours) of the main house and carriage house are very informative. The house is in great condition, depicting the living of the 19th century. I do suggest taking a ghost tour of the house. I've had many different experiences over the years, and find myself going back as much as I can. There's several different ghost tours to choose from.

Did the ghost tour with Luna who was an excellent guide. Ended up just being me and my friend on the tour, so we were able to ask many questions and go into detail about things we were curious about. Luna was very knowledgeable about the history of the house and the occupants and even the square across the street.

We went on the 9pm ghost tour of the Sorrel Weed House. Our tour guide, Janie was amazing. She is a great storyteller of the house. She explained to us what has happened in the house and the history of it. There is something in that house. My partner and I were both touched while we was in the house. There was a couple of times, I would walk into a room and get a instant headache. Then, I would walk out of the room and it instantly went away. There is a heaviness in that house. When we left we both felt a sadness for what we experienced inside the house. I have always been a little skeptical of the ghost hunter shows on tv, because you don’t know if it is just for tv. There is spirits, ghosts, whatever you want to call it, in that house. I am true believer now. I would highly recommend going and seeing for yourself, why this is one of the most haunted houses in America. It was a amazing experience. We will be going back to do it again.

Must see in Savannah. We did the 9:00 ghost tour & it was fantastic. The inside of the house is well preserved in time. The history & stories about the family made it feel like they were still there(they were) We caught a glimpse of the shadow man in the basement(zoom in 1st pic) the lady in black on the front porch and ghost cat in the parlor. I’d recommend this tour to anyone 13+. Our guide was very knowledgeable & personable. Don’t hesitate to do this. Even if you don’t have any ghost sightings it is still worth it. Highly recommended!!

Interesting history of the house and definitely got some great pictures using night mode (samsung ultra 21). Multiple pictures of the same location and got different things in our pictures. (Photos 1-3 same spots with nothing showing up)First one was one person in the door on the left.(photo 5) Second was multiple faces/shadows.(photo 6) Next we went to the surgery room and Nora told us to open the doors and go to the next room and they started to open know their own. I took picture before we went in and definitely see a lady in the left hand side( photo 9) I went back to the first room to see if I could get more like the first picture and nothing was there. Would recommend to tour the grounds and see what you find. We toured the main floor and when going to the dining room we walked past the stairs to the basement and an extremely cold air surrounded us. We walked around and came back to go downstairs and it was not cold and just a normal temperature. Definitely recommend to see and do it.

Interesting history and tour guide Luna was very nice. I had a quick pick up of mint smell in a room. Afterwards Luna said the room we were in is known for different smells. Outside of that, no unusual encounters for my group.

This historical home is a must see while in town. While there were renovations being done and are set to be completed by 2025 on the 3rd floor where the bedrooms are, we were still able to see the carriage house (slaves courters), basement / kitchen, dinning room and entertainment area for men and women. The story of this home is quite interesting and so is the "haunted history". I recommend doing both a historical and ghost tour if you are in town.

Jovi was our tour guide.. and I must say he did an amazing job with the history of this location. I've always wanted to go here. It was my birthday gift 😂 I absolutely loved every second of it. Highly recommend going

I would give this place half a star if I could. My dad and I did the haunted tour which is $30 per person. This tour should have been $10 because they only had us tour three small rooms and then a cold basement that was completely dark. The tour guide didn't really know much about the house besides a few scripted ghost stories. The tour guide kept asking us all if we feel or notice any type of paranormal activity but frankly all I felt was coldness and boredom. They had us in the cold and dark basement forever. At the end of the tour, we go to the carriage house which was a very basic store and we watch a video clip for some tv show that I could have easily looked up on YouTube. Overall this tour was boring and I kept looking at my watch to see when my "paranormal" experience would end. If you want to spook yourself out then just do a haunted walk tour. At least you are learning about the city and not stuck in an unfinished house.

This was a true haunted house! Do this instead of the ghost story walks around town!!! It was awesome! The house had a really heavy energy to it. I felt dizzy and sick to my stomach in the first room we went into, the study, but felt better after that. I didn't capture anything spooky in my photos but the feeling in the house is just dreadful. My girlfriend kept experiencing cold spots surrounding her and said she was touched by something several times in the basement. I'd actually go here again for the same tour!

Enjoyed the paranormal tour of Sorrel Weed house very much; tour guide was very informative by telling us about the history of past house owners & it’s occupants. She was very forthcoming about previous paranormal activity in each room before we went into it. She told us about the darker history of the basement & slave house. What she told us about where the slaves lived; their daily life and about the abuse of Molly & her death was very heartbreaking. I felt profoundly sad in the slave quarters. I could not go into Molly’s room knowing what had happed to her. Another interesting experience our tour guide told told us before the tour started was that a few of past guests had experienced getting a piece of jewelry such as earring stolen by the spirits. My daughter’s small canvas purse had a 2” pin/button that had a pic of some of her favorite anime characters pinned on the front of it. When we got to the end of the tour, she realized the pin was gone. Yes it is possible it fell off sometime during the tour but it was pinned on, so we don’t think that is what happened. My daughter was happy however that maybe a spirit is now enjoying the pin. The other thing she & I both heard was a cat meowing right outside the basement - no cat in sight however so I think we heard the cat spirit too. We definitely plan to take the tour again when we return to Savannah!

Our guide, Aubrey, was animated and informative. She spoke loudly and clearly. The tour was enjoyable. The house is beautiful and well kept. There’s definitely an eerie feeling in the air. No ghosts or paranormal activity experienced.

My fiancé and I have done many ghost Tours/investigations and this was by the the best! Our tour guide Evelyn (Eve) was amazing, funny and knowledgeable. She answered any questions we had perfectly and has such an upbeat personality. We experienced a lot of activity in almost every room and the rem pods kept a going off. Had amazing dosing rod seasons also and even had a long season with “Molly”. Being a medium, i was able to feel and see a lot of spirts/activity. Definitely recommend this beautiful & historic home!

DO THIS TOUR. Leslie at our motel recommended this tour and I'm so glad she did! I was looking for a tour that was more realistic and a company that took it seriously. Our guide was so respectful when it came to everything about this house and the inhabitants of it. When you get there you sit in a beautiful courtyard area (later you'll learn the tragedy of said courtyard) until your tour starts. Make sure to get there early to have some time to take in it's beauty. They give you plenty of time to look around the rooms and take pictures and videos. There is no denying the heaviness in this home. The "basement" was my favorite area. It's just so interesting to think about how lively this area once was (and still is). The only thing I caught all tour and can't explain is in a video I took there is a super loud beep, like the batteries in a smoke detector need to be replaced but I promise you, there was no loud beep while there in person. I have no idea what the sound is. It's also caught in another video I took but it's much quieter. The house holds a lot of pain and tragedy. I wish I lived in the area and could come back and do the paranormal investigation on the weekend! If you are serious about something like this DEFINITELY get tickets for that. They have a YouTube where they livestream these events (thank goodness!!) that I plan on watching! They also have a Facebook group you can join to post your photos/videos of anything you may catch on your tour.

Fun tour! Fascinating history and staff that seem genuinely excited about telling the story. Nora was our tour guide and she was wonderful!

The house was cool along with the outside garden. Inside we went on the main floor & basement. But we didn't go upstairs to the 2 top floors. And the guide told us the owner is building an apartment on the top floor, which was a bit odd to share. She was also lacking with details and facts and had a lot of ambiguous speculation of what could have happened in the space. We would have expected a bit more depth of knowledge & detail. But my kids did have "an event" in the basement when they brought out the pendulum and talked to the spirits. Overall, they loved it and had a good time. Just wish the guide knew more about the history.

Excellent tour! I did a ghost tour! Loved the tour guide whose name started with an A, I think Aubree? She said people always call her the wrong name and here I am doing it!! But she had this excellent dry humor, that I appreciated. Some older individuals I think found it less charming and noted she spoke too fast, but I LOVED IT! Keep her on staff and give her a raise! Besides being a ghost tour, loved seeing the historic house and original features!

We went for both the history/architecture tour and the ghost tour. Both were led by great guides (Aubrey was the ghost tour guide and Lucy was the history guide). The house was lovely and had many period pieces. Guests only have access to the basement and first floor, as well as the separate carriage house, so the tour feels limited by this. The history tour said that they knew nothing about the ghost portion and would not give any ghost information. We did not encounter any ghosts on our ghost tour, although one tour group member was quite spooked by a feeling of being grabbed from behind.

Our tour, led by J.B. was awesome. His southern drawl and love of the history surrounding this estate helped create an in-depth look back at what life was like in the 1800s. Calvin the director was very helpful as well. Highly recommend visiting and taking a guided tour. Thank you for the awesome experience guys!

I took the daytime architecture tour. The house is amazing and the tour was wonderful. My guide, as seen in the one photo, was exceptionally knowledgeable and very pleasant.

Hey as a local. This house is amazing. Aubrey is incredible. She knows her stuff and as far as haunted supernatural tours go. This one is legit. If you are looking for a “cheesy” tour, I don’t know what you are looking for. This is a genuine tour guide informing you on how equipment works and letting you be an investigator in a legit haunted house. What more do you want? Great tour!

I went several months back and totally forgot to write a review. My tour guide was a really sweet woman named Eve, who was amazing at telling the history of the home while also being respectful to the spirits. I really enjoyed walking through the home, and getting to learn about its history and the spirits that reside there. I hope in the future the upstairs is also available to tour, I will definitely be returning :).
