Amazing experience. My boyfriend and I, didn’t ride a horse for a very long time and the horses at blue sage adventures were amazing and easy. Our tour guide Leandra was the best! She was very knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely recommend!

This was the best experience we had in a long time. They gave us a few tips before we started, my husband never rode a horse before and he enjoyed it so much we are looking for our own now.

10/10 recommend the 2 hour ride! Not only did they get us in for a private group ride last minute but it was an amazing and fun experience. My husband and I are coming back to the area in October and will be doing the 4 hour ride!

Great place to go for a ride! Dale has some of the best trained horses I've ever ridden. My son has only ridden once before and I am a seasoned rider. He and the horses made us both feel comfortable. Trails were amazing. I'd give it 6 stars if I could!

Fun, beautiful, informative, and all around horse fun! Our group ranged from 7 - 70. We drove from Hurricane and it was well worth it. Highly recommend if you are in the area! They even let those comfortable canter. Great business to support!

I can not say enough good things about this experience. We had the best time. This is not the nose to tail on pitiful horses experience. This is very private on beautiful well groomed and maintained horses. We felt like we were hanging out with family and friends. JR was super friendly and informative. We all were fairly experienced riders, however anyone could ride these horses because they are very well trained. We had a lovely ride up to the canyon and saw ancient indian markings. If you are in Mount Zion take the short drive down to ride with Dale and/or JR and crew!!!!

If you’re looking for an adventure, this is your spot! Such a welcoming family that hosted a great trip. We rode through the beautiful desert landscape on well taken care of, horses. Mid-way through JR took us up on a short walk to see the hieroglyphics. Definitely recommend checking them out for a ride! Thanks y’all!

Dale is the real deal! For a truly authentic experience with a real cowboy who loves, understands and respects horses, look no further than Blue Sage Ranch. We took the two hour box canyon ride into beautiful country. We enjoyed a quiet horse back ride to see some amazing Native American petroglyphs. Dale's horses are gentle, well cared for and enjoy being out on the trail. Highly recommend this experience!

Excellent horseback experience! The landscapes are magnificent. JR was a great trail master and matched our group up with horses that perfectly complemented each rider’s comfort and experience level. We will definitely come back any time we’re in the area

I had such a wonderful ride! They tailor to your experience level and it’s not your typical trail ride. You actually get to ride instead of just following the horse in front of you. Also, their ethics and treatment of their horses is top notch. And it’s in such a beautiful area .Thanks so much!

THE BEST EXPERIENCE! Dell was our tour guide and made the entire horse ride wonderful from start to finish. The horses were well behaved and taken care of. Dell ensured we knew what we were doing and were comfortable on the horse before we started the tour. I was with six other people who had never ridden a horse before and we all did fine. Would definitely recommend coming to this ranch. Was so fun.

Highly recommended. Their horses are very well maintained and well trained. I felt like the horse was my own, she was sensitive and responsive to my legs and hands. The trail is breathtaking and challenging , we went through different terrains and it was one of the best trail I have done in my life. JR was super nice with us and he made sure we had a good time .

This is my very first horse ride in my life. My wife and I woke up with idea to ride horses. We called one place, ride was not available, needs to be scheduled at least one day prior to get horses ready. Then we called Zion’s Blue Sade Ranch, we were told that we can come right now. We’ve arrived, met amazing friendly people with beautiful gorgeous horses. They got our horses ready quickly, gave us crash course and JR took us over the mountains, beautiful views. It was amazing time, fabulous unforgettable experience. We’ve enjoyed so much! This place and people are amazing! I would recommend this place to everyone! We are so grateful for the time we spent with JR! Thank you guys!!! You are amazing!!!

My friends and I made a few trips to Zion this summer. We came across Dell when were looking for a horseback ride and a family friend referred me to him. He’s this super chill cowboy with awesome horses. He took us on a fun ride to see some petroglyphs and then showed us around his ranch after. Since hes a local to the area, I figured he knew all the cool spots so I reached out to him for some hiking and atv adventures on our next trip. He was always accommodating and so much fun! We never stayed at the B&B but I imagine it would be a great time as his family was always so sweet and welcoming. Highly recommend them if you’re looking for some unique experiences. Yeehaaa! 🤙

This trail ride was exactly what we were hoping to find while visiting SW Utah. I appreciated that it was a family owned business instead of a super “touristy” place. It’s also rare to find a trail ride that allows 4 year old children, my youngest daughter loved riding on the “buddy seat” with me and the 7 and 9 year old girls did fine on the the very well mannered Cindy & Max. We’d love to ride again next time we are in the area. Thank you JR for being a great guide.

I booked a last minute private ride with JR and his son Sailor, and had an absolutely amazing experience! The resort and ranch are located right across the street from Utah public land at the base of El Capitan, so we just crossed the street and were immediately in the gorgeous wilderness. The ride was tailored for my experience level which was awesome, and JR had the insider local knowledge to point out and explain the history and meaning of the petroglyphs in the canyon we rode to! I highly recommend visiting here for any experience level, from beginner to advanced. I’ll be returning!!

Myself and two sisters went on a 1.5 hour trail ride. It was AMAZING! The horses were well behaved without being zombies. The views were wonderful and I loved that the destination of the trail was looking at 800+ year old petroglyphs. Dell picked the perfect trail for us based on our experience and it was a thrill!

It was a very fun and beautiful trail ride! My friends and I really enjoyed the experience and how easy going and well trained the horses were. The views of the canyon were beautiful, especially late afternoon when the sun is going down! Would recommend this ranch to any tourists cruising through town. ☺️

Dale and JR were fantastic. I’ve been horseback riding several times before. But this experience is unlike any other I’ve done. The terrain was a lot different. Typically they take you on a normal path that’s pretty easy. JR took us on what felt like off path but was so much more enjoyable from the views to the feeling of actually riding a horse instead of just being on a horse that knows the path really well so you don’t have to do anything. JR was also full of conversation so there was never a dull moment anytime throughout the ride. But also gave us the time when looking at everything to just soak it in. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is in the area or thinking about it. Also JR was kind enough to stop at an amazing place to take pictures of me and my girlfriend and also a small walk to look at some Indian carvings in the rocks.

Awesome experience! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area as it is well worth it. Very exciting ride in a beautiful area- got to see some petroglyphs and gorgeous scenery! Dell is awesome and helped us learn quickly as most of our group of 7 were first time riders. 10/10 !!
