I was traveling through the area and happen to come across this place. The owners could not have been nicer! They were so friendly and knowledgeable about the all the products made during the maple syrup process. I also experienced a "flight" of maple syrup and learned the differences in taste and uses of each level (from light to very dark). I was planning to get Vermont Maple Syrup at some point on my trip and I am so glad I stopped here. I didn't just buy maple syrup - I purchased the syrup I knew I would really enjoy. What a great little shop and it is well worth the stop if you are anywhere near Shrewsbury, VT.

I found this place on my hunt for local high quality maple syrup at a great price. The Smith's now hold the #1 spot on my list. Great meats too! I picked up some Maple Beef Sausage as well. Sooo good! Did I mention the Maple Cotton Candy? Ask about it! There's history there. ;)

I am a bit late with this review, by 8 years. I never took the time to write reviews for anything. Started being committed to reviews in 2019 including writing reviews for past experiences. I came across this B&B because my daughter had just moved to Vermont and I was looking for a B&B to stay at. I wanted something nice because it was my first time going to Vermont. I was so happy I had found this place, it was a wonderful experience. The B&B and farm was so beautiful. The owners were amazing and the nicest people. I'm sorry I can't remember their names. I had a room on the first floor. I remember mentioning to her that I was visiting my daughter and that I wish I could cook my daughter her favorite meals. The owner mentioned that they had an apartment like room on the 2nd floor with a kitchen that was already reserved, however if the people who reserved it don't show up, I could have the room. They did not show up so I got that beautiful room with a outside porch and beautiful view. My daughter even slept over for a couple of nights and I was able to cook some of her favorite meals. The stay included breakfast which was the best. The house was so charming. It was the best experience I ever had. The following year I drove and called to book a room and found out no pets were allowed. I was devastated. I would have been a life long customer. I highly recommend this B&B. Also, best maple syrup ever.

It was a wonderful experience to learn about the maple syrup process from Mrs. Smith. She showed us the equipment and facilitated a tasting for us as well. It's great to support a small, family-owned business, and it was obvious that she and her husband love what they do. The prices of the maple products were reasonable as well. NOT A HOTEL. THIS IS A MAPLE SYRUP AND BEEF FARM.

The owners were as sweet as could be, and they were great about explaining the maple syrup process. Being from Florida, I had zero knowledge about how it was all done, and he spent the time and explained it all to me. It was super interesting (and tasty!!) Knowing that they ship, we will definitely be ordering all future maple syrup from them!

I do not like maple but I went here to get two family Christmas gifts and the lady that helped me was so friendly, helpful, and amazing! The prices are good! I will definitely be recommending to my clients!

An incredible experience. The owners are extremely passionate, kind and educate you on everything you need to know before making a purchase. it is an enjoyable experience. The burgers and steak are OUT OF THIS WORLD. The syrup is so good - we also got the pancake mix which was phenomenal.

Charming B&B on old Vermont farmstead. Entering my room was like stepping back in time to a warmer, cozier era. Beautiful, off the beaten track location. I went to hike a section of the Appalachian Trail nearby.
