The shipwreck and the whole cliff trail around Monhegan Island was such a fun day of exploring. Be prepared for rocky and uneven terrain. Plan to go hiking, not for a stroll. We were wearing sneakers and had food and water to be out for several hours. The views from the cliffs (there are lookouts too numerous to count) are stunning.

Easy hike from the ferry. We got here and enjoyed a nice lunch and hiked around a bit. Not crowded and offers up some wonderful views.

The wreck is up on the rocks. It makes a great goal for kids to hike to. The ship is busted in half, but still has the hull and clear fittings.

Pretty cool view point at Lobster Cove that had a good sized metal ship that washed up shore a while back. There are prices all over the place and it's pretty easy to get to. Honestly, the ship itself is kinda lackluster but the views of the ocean are amazing from there.

Lovely views from all over Lobster Cove. Shipwreck was cool to see. We got there first thing in the morning before the first ferry arrived, so we had the area almost to ourselves, but it definitely might get crowded later in the day. Trail to the shipwreck is pretty well-marked and easy to get to. Beware of poison ivy, but there are signs that warn you as well.

The views out here are amazing. The shipwreck is definitely kind of cool. The only downside being that tourists like to climb all over it and hang around it, so it's hard to get pictures without other people being in them. Some people simply cannot just admire and check things out and move on, they hang around it for extended periods of time. So, if you can get some shots of the wreck without people around. Grab'em quick. However, the views around here of the cliffs, the ocean, and the area in general are what make this place. It's a great place to just hang out. It's NOT very accessible, however. So be warned if you are have a hard time getting around. It's very rocky and hilly. For more adventurous types like myself and my friends, we found some great spots out in the rocks where we could safely (do not get too close to the water out here...it's extremely dangerous.) hang out and be away from most of the people. Was very relaxing.

👍👍 Most amazing view of the entire village from Lighthouse Hill. The Lighthouse also has a historic Museum and Gallery on the premises . A must do on your trip to the island. A painters dream.
