I truly enjoyed our carriage ride at Adams County Winery today. The carriage was comfy and the drivers engaging. But the stars—they were the beautiful team of Shires who pulled the carriage! They were perfectly trained and responsive to direction, which was evident when we needed to deviate from their usual route. It was a pleasure to take part in this ride—it was the highlight of the afternoon for me. Thank you so much!

We absolutely loved our ride with Bill and the Shires. It was interesting to hear the background of the beautiful horses and their breed. And Bobbie was a wonderful greeter and was very informative as well about their amazing fur babies. Gentle Giants is the perfect description for the horses as we found out after our ride when we could pet and talk to them. Will definitely visit again ❤️

Absolutely amazing family and day out. They were so knowledgeable about the area and the history surrounding. We loved the carriage ride. We will be back over and over again!! Thank you for going above and beyond for us and our family. Our 3 year old had a blast and they were so sweet and kind to him. I just asked my husband if there was anything else I should add. He said "oh, just that they were absolutely wonderful. Wonderful and educational family outing."

We had such a great time on this carriage ride. The couple guiding us were an absolute joy and it was a perfect fun family outing. Loved being able to feed the horses after too.

My family had so much fun. We picked are own Christmas tree and got to to cut it on are own. They have many options. The horse carriage ride was awesome kids loved it. The driver was very funny and friendly. So coming back next year. I would recommend it.

My husband and I were looking for something different to do to celebrate my birthday and our upcoming anniversary when we stumbled across Silvershire Farm. So glad to have found them, they did not disappoint! Lovely and knowledgeable couple and they made us feel like family. Such a great experience and we will definitely be back with our son!

This is such a wonderful place! Bill and Bobbie are so kind and our daughter fell in love with the horses! Mae and Markie were her absolute favorites! If you are in the Gettysburg area and looking for a relaxing and beautiful carriage ride in the country, this is absolutely the place to go! Not only do they provide an informative and beautiful ride, they also let you feed the horses and spend time with them after the ride. We couldn’t recommend Silvershire Farms enough and we will be back every single time we are in the area!

Fantastic Fall day for a draft shire horse & carriage ride at Boyer's Nursery. Bill & Bobbie Kane who own Silvershire Farms are great hosts and our family loved the carriage ride through the fields. The 2 horses are beautiful and sa lovely carriage to sit in. Would love to do the 1-hour version up through the apple orchards next time. THANKS!
