I had the best time going here for dinner. I live about a hour and half from here and it was well worth the drive. Had several friends come too and they enjoyed every minute of it, food was absolutely delicious. If you go the steaks are a must have. I normally don’t like steaks but after having it here I have changed my mind it was seasoned perfectly. The staff here are wonderful and friendly they also had live music playing which was really nice. There were fantastic views to look out on and enjoy while you where eating. If your staying at the lake or just wanting to try something new this is the place to go. Already planning my next trip down!!!!!!!!

My family was camping near by for vacation. My husband had raved about this place for as long as we've been together, so figured we'd stop in and see what the fuss was about. We were not AT ALL impressed. The prices were outrageous for what we received. The chips and queso? Stale chips, cheese sauce that was clumpy. The two steaks we ordered were about half edible! One was undercooked, one was overcooked and orange. The baked potatoes were wayyy undercooked. The shrimp had the blue markers on it. And isn't water supposed to be free when you order a beer and a margarita? What about a second beer? If people are going to spend well over $150 bucks for a dinner, we expect more than subpar service and lackluster (at best) food that we can't even chew.

We stopped here to eat while boating with the family. Food was expensive for microwaved food. Inside the place was okay. We liked the Indian and eagle statues outside. The dock you have to walk up from the marina was questionable, Glad nobody got hurt on the rotted areas of the dock. We rented a pontoon for the day from another marina, glad we did!!

I loved my experience at Chaonia, everything was amazing! The owners are wonderful people and the food was great as well as the cabins. We will be revisiting soon, thank you.

This place overlooks the beautiful wappappello lake with a huge Indian on a beautiful patio. You can come eat steaks while overlooking the lake. Will def come back!

My wife, three boys, and I only came here to rent a pontoon boat for a day on the lake. Had we looked into this months ago I'm sure we could have found a cabin and actually stayed here. But, when it's Memorial Day weekend and you wait less than two weeks to book anything, it's slim pickins. We ended up renting "Sandy" which is one of their pontoon boats. It's definitely a boat that needs some cleaning up. The floor is very worn out, seats have foam cushioning exposed and we found quite a bit of trash and petrified food left behind by other renters when we lifted up a couple of the storage bins, which are underneath the cushions. At least this boat has a new motor. Too bad I couldn't get it above 20 for the whole day. The customer service in the office is great. The girls behind the counter were super nice and very helpful about how to navigate the lake (this was our first time on this particular lake...we've rented many boats in the past on Table Rock and Mark Twain). We would love to come back again. But they need to update their fleet of available boats to rent. I recommend cleaning up or replacing what they have, but also throwing in a speed boat or two or maybe a tri-toon. Having a little more variety will increase rental interest. Overall it's a nice resort (well, the office and cafe area anyway), nice people working there. If they update and expand their fleet of rentals, that'll increase our odds of being repeat customers.

The food is good but the singers are awful! Please stop!! It was not Karaoke night it was an elderly couple who looked like regulars. I hear Karaoke night is even worse
