This was me and my husband's first time going to this theater. We saw "Leading Ladies" 04/01/23. Everyone working with the theater was so nice! It was a very small theater with only a handful of rows. Very intimate atmosphere. We had a lot of fun! We are looking forward to seeing more shows here!

Just caught the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde performance here, since a friend was in the cast. And wow, I should have found this place sooner! The theater itself is very small and intimate, which makes it hard to get a bad seat. Speaking of the seats, they are rather old, but they kindly provide a back pillow which makes it decently cozy. The concessions were extremely reasonable, with canned cokes costing $2 and beers $6. It also came with a kooky, which was nice since there are no cupholders. The performers did an excellent job, and despite being a small troupe with a surely limited prop budget, the scene transitions made sense. I found myself enjoying every second of the play (which I wasn't sure if I would, since I typically don't enjoy historicals or long sit-down events), and afterwards I couldn't stop raving about it! I'm looking forward to catching another performance soon!

Our theater group of 22 attended Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, our first experience at the Melbourne Civic Theater. What a treat! We loved the intimate surroundings and the wonderful production. Can't wait to return.

There is a lot of potential for this theater. It's in a great location and they have wonderful raw talent, but lack in their theatrics, stage design, and props. However, it's a smaller stage compared to the other theaters in the area and very limited seating (currently 30-40 or so). So, with COVID and all it's tough to manage and I give them props for pushing through. They recently had a play of Christmas Carol featuring only four actors that did a phenomenal job with very little. It was all about the dialogue and using your imagination and they did an outstanding job at bringing the story to life! Looking forward to seeing this theater grow and develop further!

The theater is small, which made it a more intimate experience. We were able to see & hear the actors so much better. We enjoyed the play "Merry and Bright" very much, it has great singing, & was very entertaining, everyone in it did a great job. We will definitely be going back to this theatre to see more plays.
