Back again on a slushy Saturday morning in March. Store is vibrant and well staffed. Staff is enthusiastic about the media they are selling. Truly something for everyone. Cant wait to return! It is like stepping back in time. Old time record store feel. LP's, 8 Tracks, cassettes, cds, laserdisc, vhs and dvds. They also have vintage stereo equipment, a 420 section and even some posters and retro gaming stuff. Friendly knowledgeable staff. The big gentleman with the beard answered some technical vhs questions and was a huge help to me. He is an asset to your store. Check out Darkside records.

Well stocked record store with a code variety of media. They feature some older artists but there’s a big focus on pop rock - lots of Taylor swift. Vinyl and cds are a mix of new and used. New media is expensive ($20-30) but you can see get a good deal on used ($4-8). They also house cds, cassettes 78s, dvds and even a few books. Everything was very well organized which was great. We’re avid cassette collectors so to have everything by genre and in alphabetical order was a nice reprieve from the typical jumble you find at other stores. They also house a selection of hi-fi speakers and receivers along with more “college dorm room” items like tapestries, band posters, incense, etc. Overall a good place to browse some media - especially if you’re looking for more modern releases on vinyl.

My boyfriend ordered me what was supposed to be the Taylor Swift Lover pink and blue variant from another retailer for Christmas, and the black variant ended up arriving instead. He filed for a return and told me if I could find the one I was looking for, he’d give me the money for it. After reading sketchy Amazon listing reviews, I did research and found Darkside Records’ online store which had the European import of the variant I was looking for. I ordered from the online store and it arrived today. I was impressed by how fast the shipping was considering I ordered on a holiday weekend and was not expecting it so soon, and the vinyl arrived just as pictured. It plays beautifully and arrived in perfect condition. I would absolutely order from here again with confidence that what is pictured online is what I will receive.

I purchased my vinyl online to be shipped to me. I love the variety of artists available and had a lot of fun browsing through the inventory. Will be revisiting! The albums shipped quickly and were packaged so carefully, I was really impressed with the whole experience.

Was looking for a specific record for Christmas, Ebay/Amazon/Discogs were all selling the record for $150+, Darkside had it in stock for retail and delivered to Canada in less than a week. Not only did they not gouge me on the price but the delivery was quick and the record was well packed. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

Ordered from them as they had a limited edition variant from the band I love. Vinyl was shipped the very next day after ordering and was trackable throughout, which I was worried about since it was an international delivery. Item came in one piece, and was packaged very safely. Can’t recommend them enough.
