This is one of my favorites. Clean, friendly, unique fabrics conducent to the area and many samples and kits. Every quilting mother of a MTU student OR FINLAND student will want to visit their child more often just to shop here. One fabric line I have Never seen in the literally 100s of shops I've been in is their Australia line. . Check that out!

I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the Quilt House. Unbelievable amount of stock in a organized floor plan. The quilts displayed are so beautiful and well made. Quality workmenship with reasonable prices. Love it.

Stopping at Portage House Quilt Shop is part of my annual visit to the U.P. Plenty of fabulous fabric and patterns to choose from and helpful staff.

Its a sweet little quilt shop within an old home. Prices run around $11.50 s yard. They have a little bit for every taste in fabric. The staff were helpfull and pleasent and knew their stuff! I enjoyed the visit and would return again if I wasn't just passing through.

Love this place! Joann, the owner, is friendly and helpful. Her quilts adorn the walls and she has a great variety of fabrics , patterns and tools.
