I discovered Authentic Jerk at Center Ithaca several months ago and have been returning every week since my first meal. As someone who has traveled to Jamaica for my vacations almost every year since 2000, I can tell you with all sincerity that Authentic Jerk's food is just as tasty and high quality as the food served in the best restaurants in Jamaica. It's clear that they don't skip any steps in their preparation, as the spices and seasonings are authentic, and all the dishes are extremely well prepared. Since chicken is the only meat I consume, I normally order the curry chicken or stew chicken, and it's always very tender and ready to fall off the bone served with delicious gravy. The rice and peas are well seasoned, and the collard greens and cabbage are steamed nicely with subtle Jamaican spices. The fried plantain, mac n cheese and festival (fried dough) are always good as well. Manners and respect to Authentic Jerk!

Stumbled across this gem today. We tried nearly everything they had available and every single dish was perfection. Flavorful, tender, generous portions. Easily the best meal we’ve had in Ithaca. Curry goat, curry chicken, collard greens, Mac and cheese—all truly impeccable. And the staff were so friendly. Such a rare find in Ithaca. Can’t say enough good things!

Delicious food that warmed my stomach (wonderful spices) and soul! I can highly recommend the curried goat, and will come back to try the other dishes as well. Highly recommended!

I got the small curry chicken with Mac n cheese. The food was amazing! The chicken was nicely seasoned and tender! You know it’s authentic Jamaican aunty made because there was a pepper clover in the box. MUST TRY THIS RESTAURANT— gives Ithaca a small taste of amazing Caribbean food.

Authentic jerk fills the gap in Ithaca, bringing true authentic Jamaican flavors, not to mention the Jerk chicken is impeccable! Really amazing food, great service and the Caribbean vibes flows throughout center of Ithaca. You must try their food!

As a true southern native, I have struggled to find good that matches the flavor levels of the “soul food” or “comfort food” from back home, but Authentic Jerk absolutely delivered!! The jerk chicken, rice, and Mac and cheese were to DIE FOR. Huge portions with even bigger flavor! 10/10 would highly recommend.
