Great customer service. They had every model Ariens snowblower in stock which I cannot say for other stores and I took it home the same day. Their prices are the same if not less that the big box stores and I'm supporting a small business at the same time.

I was visiting Boston for a week and decided to look up an Elite Stihl dealership after a quick Google search I found Milton Village Hardware store, located on the outskirts of Boston near the end of the Red Line. A quick transfer onto the free Mattapan Trolley took me to Milton where a 5min walk found me standing outside this historic hardware store which I have been reliably informed by the staff (Colby & Dan) has been on the same site since 1918 (wow…that fact alone was worth the journey). On entering this store, it feels like stepping back into the past before the days of the poor service big box stores (no names mentioned here to avoid litigation!) you know who I am talking about. The service was immediately first class from the minute I entered the store with Colby being truly impressed with my impeccable British accent…. Ha ha ha. They are definitely missing a trick here because it would not have been apparent to your average customer that downstairs there was a hidden treasure trove of Stihl products all displayed with military precision. The most dangerous thing to do as a consumer is to go into an Aladdin’s cave of your favourite products with no good reason other than having an inquiring mind. I ended up fortunately finding two items that I actually needed a new pair of Stihl High Performance PRO Gloves and a Silky Gunfighter Professional Saw….Yeah Baby. This shop is a must for anyone in Boston and the surrounding areas who wants that personalised level of customer service, for all repairs and day to day servicing of your Stihl equipment and much more. Thanks for taking the time Colby & Dan for your excellent customer service, fantastic hardware store, but definitely consider putting up a sign to let new customers know what treasures are hidden in the basement.

Excellent customer service. Their caring about customers is very appreciated. They do what they promise. I have Ariens snowblower , 24 classic model that had a drive problem. They picked up and dropped off my machine at home very conveniently. Their cost is reasonable. They replaced the belt and delivered my snowblower just in time for winter. I trust their service. Very highly recommended. I am going to use their service again in the future.

Bought a snowblower; couldn't be happier given the blizzard over the weekend! The staff were friendly and helpful in making the best purchase for my needs, not trying to push a more expensive model when it wasn't necessary. The equipment worked perfectly. The store is clean and organized. Highly recommend this store over the big chains, which lack the personal customer service.

Excellent service and low prices. They even cut glass. I was very impressed with how quickly my custom cut of glass was ready!

They are knowledgeable and friendly. They have just about anything you could need for your home, the quality of the small engine repair is unmatched. Also, they'll make you a key, repair a lamp, sharpen your knives and lawnmower blades or repair a screen.

I brought my lawn mower here and paid the $40 deposit, they said they will call me if they discover a part needs to be ordered or anything else needs to be done besides a standard tune up because that will cost additional. I call a week later the guy says it's on hold but he doesn't know why so he gotta call me back. Two days later I get a call that they replaced my carburetor without even asking me, and charged me $184 on top of the deposit and they never asked if i wanted to fix and I was forced to pay for something I didn't ask to be done, the guy says we'll it's a good investment.

I have purchased many power tools from Milton Village Hardware over the years and have been completely satisfied with the products. There repair and service center is outstanding. Colby is an extremely skilled technician and the repair prices are reasonable.
