Wow, I didnt know what to expect when showing up and GPS got us lost twice before arriving!! Be sure to get the address right; its 809 and right by a power station off the road listed. You pull into an open gate and park in the lot designated. There are trail maps and signs. This is well developed extreme mountain bike trails and I can say from experience hiking is a bit rough because bikes do have the right of way. Trails are narrow and the terrain is deverse, having experience IMO is required! Got a little lost even with the map because the trails are not marked very well. Didnt bring a helmet and they are DEF needed so a short hike was fun instead. It was a little muddy but nothing too bad. Major respect for wildlife, most of the land is not developed in any way to give it a true nature feel. Tons of tiny sea fossils are sprinkled across the entire area and make for a fun scavenger hunt. I was hunting mushrooms and found some gorgeous fossils instead!! Will be visiting again but to map out the trails before I get my bike on them. Even I need some lessons before giving some of those trails a go!

One of the best trail in DFW! Always a blast every time I ride out in Quanah. The trail is always well maintained and has nice views of the lake. Parking is also great since there isn’t much traffic anytime of the day.

This is a nicely designed xc trail with a few somewhat intense climbs but they pay off with some fast and fun descents. A little on the short side at just 7+ miles but worth it. You get some beautiful views along the way and you'll probably meet at least a few deer while you're out here too.

I wanted to go on a hike for Thanksgiving day, and decided on Quanah Hill. First time here and it was easy to get to from IH 20, along with only being 30 minutes from Fort Worth. Nice, compact trail area, with lots of twists and turns. Others on the trails hiking/biking were friendly, and was lucky enough to get some good pictures. Will be coming back, and maybe on my bike this time!

Such a historic place and really cool if you’ve ever read empire of the summer moon. The trails are well kept and it’s a really fun ride.

Great local mountain bike trail. The view over the lake is also pretty for hikers.

The WMBC has done a really amazing job here. Lots of switchbacks and it's easy to get turned around if you do this in the dark and don't have a good headlamp. Be cognizant of bike riders and yield to them here, the trail is narrow and there's a lot of sharp ups and downs. Don't pop those earbuds in on this one, you may need to quickly get out of the way. Bike riders and hikers have specific directions in which they should be traveling, which is outlined by great signage. I logged just shy of seven miles. I didn't see a single person here as I started at 6 AM, but share the trail and be careful y'all! <3
