We have stopped going here, but right before we stopped boarders were removing their horses due to lack of proper care and feeding (from what the borders told us, we did not personally board a horse here). I did however witness some underweight horses and poor hoof care. We did not stop coming here because we didn't enjoy coming here, it is a beautiful farm. We stopped because firstly our children's riding instructor left here to branch out in her own riding business, and we loved her. And secondly during my husband and I's riding lesson our instructor punched a horse over and over in the forehead right where it would hurt the horse the most. I understand reprimanding a horse so they don't throw or bite, but this was excessive and horrifying for horse lovers like us to see. Update 09/21/22: Unfortunately things have not improved at Winsome Farm. They have actually gotten worse and a horse died due to plain laziness. When some of the last boarders left over the death the owner verbally attacked them as if they didn't have the right to leave when they wanted with their horses. They have lost most of their boarders and honestly I'm glad. These are people who just don't deserve this beautiful farm or the horses on it. I try not to be too critical, but in this case lives are truly at stake. Do not board here and avoid this farm if you love horses. Rest in peace Billy.

4 days prior to my wife's birthday, I booked a ride for 2 pm. We Arrived 30 minutes early only to find out that there weren't any guides available to take us out. Would have been nice to get a call to cancel our reservation and save us the hour drive and not waste my wife's birthday.

Had one really awesome ride with great guides. Enjoyed it so much my husband and I planned on coming monthly. Sadly then had a really bad experience. We show up to a very young guide that gave no introductions. The horse I was put on was one of their best and I’m sure typically he is. The reign was extremely short and I had little length to hold and give direction but was never addressed. My husband reports the guide was on his phone the entire time and left me behind. Lots of moments I could not see anyone in the party. Not once was our saddles checked for adjustments or even asked if anything needed assistance. Wanted a nice ride with my spouse and hardly saw him! Also my horse just had his feet maintenance done and had a very “off” gait. He seemed painful and fell back for the entire ride from the start. He avoided the frequently walked through trails to walk on the sides where softer grass was causing me to get a few scratches and a stressful not enjoyable ride of trying to avoid branches. I attempted multiple times to get the guides attention on this with no success.Did call to discuss the matter and was given an apology for the experience. Very disappointing.

Lovely farm near interstate 81. Glad we went there as a break from the road during our Pennsylvania road trip. Well trained friendly horses. I rode Grant, a Tennessee walker with good spirit. Nice safe guided trail for inexperienced riders. We will be back for a 2 hour private ride next time. Cant wait to try Grant at a faster pace. He was so comfortable.

Always wanted to ride a horse and my husband surprised me with a tour. It was $50 per person for a good length ride on a beautiful trail. Highly recommend for older kids and adults.

Love this place for trail rides. Nice variety of woods & fields. Horses are well trained without being like robots.

So first things first, this place I must absolutely say I love this place and the people, but even more so I love that my son and nephew enjoyed and loved their experience with horseback riding here. I don't think I've seen my son so confident and relaxed with some of our other Summer Adventures. Our guide Aaron made the whole experience fun and entertaining and now my son is interested in learning to truly ride horses. The trail we went on gave a nice scenic hike, while allowing us to still be safe with the horses. I haven't rode a horse in a while and after today I can definitely say we'll be back. There was so much positive conversation and information about the world of horseback riding that this will be something to add to one of the ways quality time my son and I spend together. My sister whom would never... even enjoyed her first ever horseback ride and that again just spoke volume about how comfortable and welcoming the staff made everyone feel.
