Very sweet ladies working the counter who were extremely friendly, helpful, and informative. They gave great advice and recommendations for places to go and sights to see in Golden. They'll also give you some golden tickets that are good for discounts at various retailers in the area. Besides their personal advice, there's many pamphlets and flyers advertising different tourist attractions in the area. I'd recommend stopping by here on your visit to Golden.

An Unexpected Star Performance at Golden CO Visitors & Information Center! We meant to post this sooner, but a couple of months ago we visited the Golden CO Visitors & Information Center and it was nothing short of a comedic spectacle, all thanks to the wonderful women working there! My brother Mitch, as part of a whimsical challenge, arrived adorned in what can only be described as a hysterically ridiculous Donald Duck costume. What could have been a mere awkward moment transformed into an epic, laughter-filled event. The fantastic ladies at the center, recognizing a golden opportunity for some lighthearted fun, coaxed Mitch into performing some classic acts. There he was, in full Donald Duck regalia, doing the chicken dance followed by the endearing "I'm a Little Teapot", much to the amusement of everyone present. The laughter was contagious, and the atmosphere electric! But they didn't stop there. To ensure the hilarity was immortalized, they took the party outdoors, making Mitch pose for some unforgettable pictures. The combination of the beautiful Golden backdrop and a grown man in a duck costume was comedy gold (and public embarrassment)! A massive shoutout to the amazing team at the Golden CO Visitors & Information Center. Not only do they provide top-notch service and information, but they truly understand the essence of community spirit, fun, and humor. We left with our bellies aching from laughter and memories that will last a lifetime. Mitch, despite his blushing cheeks, couldn't stop raving about how wonderfully playful and engaging the staff was. We can't wait for our next visit! We hope they will let him duck-waddle back very soon!!

Sun was out the water wasn't too cold definitely worth it if you're going out for a walk or wanting to jump in the water! Lots to do and see for all ages

Very helpful staff — gave us maps and explained everything so well ! Amazing walk along the creek ... museum is fun and the cabin tour ( walking) is fun too .. we took the AI cube around the town for a fun ride ... really cool town

Just about the most friendly visitor center in all of the West. Eleanor (Wednesdays) will give you Golden history, a Golden Ticket, good advice and probably make you belly laugh. Stop in, you won't be sorry.

We went there for Goldens in golden dogs day out event. My dogs Enjoyed meeting many other Goldens

So many maps! Our stop here netted us two coupons to local establishments for a percentage off our meal+drinks. We got great information about things to do, scenic drives and great food in town!

We booked the Golden Visitors Center for a post-wedding event in July 2022, and it was absolutely perfect. We had the entire patio to ourselves and just a short walk away people could go hang out by the water and go tubing. So easy for everyone to gather and well worth the price. This is a hidden gem if you're looking for a place to rent for an event.

The ladies that helped us were very informative and helpful! Golden is such a beautiful and historic town. The river walk is absolutely beautiful and is accessible. I will come back to visit this great town and will definitely stay longer. Great place for information!

Very helpful n friendly. Has its own parking lot n located next to creek with walkway. Rv park up street n can go tubing there! Cute downtown main street n drive up mountain to see views n Buffalo Bill museum n grave.

The Boardroom at the Golden Visitor's Center was a great place to host our staff and planning meetings. The meeting space was beautiful with great views, Lora was wonderful to work with, the close proximity to hiking trails and the Clear Creek Trail made getting outdoors for a break a breeze, and the many local restaurants nearby were perfect for coffee breaks, dinner, and catering. Free parking and an easy to use A/V system were perks as well. Definitely recommend this location for your next meeting!

Great jumping off point if you are exporing golden and the surrounding region. we were in town for a wedding and had lots of time to kill, the friendly visitor center staff gave us tons of suggestions for everyone's tastes and ensured we really enjoyed our time here.

No use of restrooms, directed you to park across the street. Public bathrooms had NO soap, what the heck? Homeless dude was sleeping on the wall by the restroom.

The two women at the desk were very snooty about the bathrooms. I’m asked to use the facilities and they said there were none, which is fine. What I didn’t need was the passive aggressive statements that there was a sign on the door. Lady, I’ve been here for thirty minutes. I wasn’t thinking about the bathroom when I walked in.
