Incredible creamery. Perfect place to visit as a tourist, even if it's way out of your way. Highly recommend. Delicious lunch, lots of ice cream choices, store area with large selection of items, playground area for kids, and even dairy farm tours. The tour was the best part! Got to see a short video, the parlor, milk storage area, and the cow barn! Kids were able to get up close to the cows and even pet them. The tour was perfect amount of time as well (especially for little ones), not too long, not too short.

The best icecream I have ever had PERIOD! So many amazing flavors to pick from and so inexpensive. Too bad we don’t live in Wisconsin because if we did, we would definitely be back for more!!

Wonderful place and hidden gem.. excellent ice creams for less price. Nicely maintained and courteous staff.. kids will love the place and ice creams. Milk are slightly cheaper than stores. Must try if you are in Madison or passing by

Sassy Cow is an excellent destination. We love the shop, the fresh meat and milk products, and everything available for kids to do outside. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful when they are available. However, the staff often seem overwhelmed and on our last visit we spent an unacceptable amount of time in line for ice cream!

For a number of years we have been buying Sassy Cow whole milk at Woodman's and for fun we finally decided to make a trip to the Sassy Cow Creamery Store. My goodness, it was absolutely worth it, and we'll definitely be stopping by occasionally. We had lunch (grilled cheese, with tomato soup (of course!), which also comes with a bottomless glass of milk) and toted home a few pints of ice cream. The selection of interesting flavors is wider than what we find at the grocer, and it's all good. I don't think it gets much more Wisconsin than this!

Just 40min north of Madison this is worth the stop. We were on our way back to Mke from camping and took the detour. Great local ice cream nestled in America's dairy farmland. Beautiful drive looking at all of the greenery and farms. Lots of flavor choices, air conditioning inside or outdoor seating available with a few fun toys for the kids to play on and stretch the legs from the trip. Aside from ice cream they serve colectivo coffee, soup and sandwiches. They also have fun ice cream and coffee beverages on the menu. Small store inside that sells their dairy products (milk, half and half, ice cream, cheese) as well as other local products (meat, cheese, honey).

What a fun place for kids and the food is delicious. The milk is certainly a must, nothing watered down, and if you feel adventurous, they have a few flavors to try as well. The ice cream is the star of the show! Too many good combinations to name. Highly recommend this as a little detour to your travels or just a place to get out for the afternoon.
