I am a running enthusiast. Last year, when I was preparing for a running competition, I suffered a proximal hamstring tendon injury in my left leg. An MRI in June 2023 diagnosed mild left hamstring tendonitis. Despite nearly a year of rest and physical therapy, there was still no significant improvement. During a time of extreme frustration, a friend introduced me to Dr. Sun. With a hopeful attitude, I contacted Dr. Sun for acupuncture treatment. After the first session, I noticed a significant improvement. The pain level decreased noticeably, and apart from some pressure, I could hardly feel any pain while standing or walking. Encouraged by the results, I continued with a second acupuncture session. Now, a week after the second treatment, the results are impressive! Following Dr. Sun's advice, I have started slow running training in addition to strength and flexibility exercises recommended by my physical therapist. Dr. Sun is a knowledgeable and experienced doctor, and his targeted treatment methods are commendable! If you are facing a situation like mine, I highly recommend Dr. Sun!

I have never done acupuncture before this, but have been here twice in the past month. The first visit, Dr. Sun took the time to show me the needles that would be used, confirmed they were one time use, fully sanitized, and showed how small they were. We also went over my medical history and what was top of mind/most concerning for me. He took my experiences seriously and identified the right places to work based on my input. My first session was amazing! I have been dealing with chronic muscle tension, headaches, gastro issues, and more, and the session felt like sunshine under my skin. Muscles I didn't even know I had let alone knew were tight relaxed. I believe the benefits lasted after the session as well. The needle insertion was painless (/temporary/ feelings more like pressure than anything sharp), and Dr. Sun made sure I was doing okay as the process went on. For the past two years I’ve been dealing with low back pain which radiated down the back of my legs. After trying other types of therapy with little or no results in relieving my pain I decided to try acupuncture . Dr. Sun is professional, soft- spoken and very gentle during his treatments. Since it was my first time trying acupuncture he took the time explaining the process and made sure I was comfortable during each session. His office and private treatment rooms are clean, quiet and relaxing. My pain symptoms are gradually decreasing, after having six sessions, so I plan on continuing with his treatment. Dr. Sun is awesome ! He is very knowledgeable and caring. He takes the time to talk with his patients and develops a plan of care to help best treat them.
