Awesome shop with helpful staff. I make the trip there many times a year. It is well worth the 3.5 hour trip for the insight and guidance alone. Love that shop. Update: Many years later I still make the trip to Northern Angler several times a year. Also make it my stop before flying out on vacation fishing trips.

The products in the shop are all priced great! The men at the shop are all extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Their passion for the sport shows. Stormy (the dog) is perfect, be sure to give her lots of love on your stop!

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great selection of products from just about any fly tying material and fly, and a great assortment of rods/reels and other gear to get you on the river.

Had a great 2 days of fishing with Ted as my guide. Very helpful, knowledgeable and PATIENT. He was lots of fun as well. Also Brian, the owner, made an extra effort to help me out of an unforeseen circumstance. Shop is nice as well as rest of staff there.

I went to The Northern Angler on Labor Day Weekend hoping to take advantage of their weekend sales event. I was looking for a pair of Simms G3 Guide Boots. Unfortunately, they did not have my size in stock, but Matt was able to order them directly from Simms & get them to me in a couple weeks....and, still offer me the sale price! At a time when it seems like prices are skyrocketing and customer service is plummeting, The Northern Angler continues to exceed expectations by providing an incredible selection of quality products, frequent sales events, and above all, reliable, credible advise and customer service. I want to start by saying i don't leave a lot of reviews. The service and experience I had with Northern Angler was one of the best experiences I have had in a long time. I found their shop on the internet and was initially attracted to their competitive prices. I decided to give them a call and Jess did an amazing job helping me choose my first rod and reel. It didn't feel like I was talking to a salesperson, it felt more like I was talking to a knowledgeable friend that was trying to help me get started. I called back the next day and Jess remembered me and got me all taken care of. The rod and reel showed up quickly and even included a hand written note from Jess.
