Dr. Woo was very kind and caring with my nephew (for whom she administered dental anesthesia during an extended procedure to address fillings and some extractions). She was very communicative and explained every step of the process. She is especially talented in dealing with children. You can feel safe and secure entrusting your child's anesthesia to Dr. Woo. She also handles special needs children wonderfully and seems to have an intuitive ability to understand their needs. I was so nervous about my nephew going under anesthesia and she answered all my questions every step of the way willingly and patiently. She worked with Dr. Merlino (a wonderful pediatric dentist in Staten Island), which was wonderful because each doctor could focus on their aspect of the procedure. I think this is the smartest way to do this type of procedure -- I was so much less worried knowing there was a dedicated anesthesiologist attending to my nephew while the dentist did her work. Dr. Woo's administrative process was also very efficient and streamlined and her staff was very helpful and always available. She is also a sincerely kind and attentive person who made a potentially stressful experience a lot easier. I highly recommend Dr. Woo - she is not just experienced and knowledgeable, she is incredibly talented and has a natural affinity for working with kids, including special needs children, and for dealing with parents as well. I am so happy we had the privilege of having Dr. Woo take care of my beloved nephew; I knew he was safe in her hands. She is a top-notch dental anesthesiologist - you aren't going to find many doctors superior to Dr Woo. She is one of the best.

Dr. Woo was absolutely amazing with our daughter. There are NOT enough words to formulate the compassion she showed our daughter including the follow ups after the procedure to check in. Dr. Woo is excellent! Wonderful bedside manner. She is excellent with children. My five-year-old son was automatically at ease with her. She turned what could be a very stressful situation for a small child into a fun game.

Absolutely wonderful!!! Dr. Woo traveled to my dentist's office (Metropolitan Dental Arts, also amazing!) very early on a Saturday morning to provide deep sedation for my 17 year old son with special needs (autism spectrum). My son required a significant amount of dental work and would not have been able to tolerate any of it without Dr. Woo's expertise. Before the procedure, both Dr. Woo and her lovely assistant Amy were in touch with me to make sure that I fully understood what would take place on the day of surgery and to take the time to answer all of my questions. During the procedure, Dr. Woo treated my son with respect, compassion and understanding. She was calm, skilled and reassuring. I trusted her to keep my son comfortable and safe. She did. Following the procedure, Dr. Woo and Amy checked in again to make sure that all was well. It was. I am incredibly grateful to have had Dr. Woo as our son's dental anesthesiologist. I would highly recommend Dr. Woo to other special needs parents. You can get the "impossible" done with her help! Thank you Dr. Woo!

Dr. Woo is amazing. She made my daughter and myself feel so comfortable. She is very kind and takes the time to explain everything before and after. Dr. Woo was amazing! I have a very shy 4 year old that doesn’t always like to interact with strangers but when Dr. Woo came out to met her her personality was so bright a bubbly that my daughter melted all over her. (The full size my little pony toy Dr. Woo had in her arm definitely was a plus). My daughter went right with her and giggled and laughed the entire time! So thankful that Dr. Woo could make this experience so easy and and peaceful for my daughter as the patient and for me as the mom!

I had complete confidence in Dr. Woo after speaking to her on the phone. She is very soft spoken and very nice. Explains everything to you prior the procedure and makes sure you have several chances to ask questions before hand. Dr. Woo was very sweet with my daughter (3) as well. She turned something scary, going under anesthesia, into a game. My daughter was laughing the whole time in the waiting room. She was not scared at all.
