We just had our Halloween wedding a few days ago, and if you’re looking for a DJ/entertainment company for your event, you will be in good/safe hands with Black Tie Entertainment. Our wedding planner had previously worked many events with Black Tie Entertainment and told us she had no concerns with the company, only great things. Well on our wedding night, my husband and I got to see for ourselves just how talented and professional they were and now here we are singing their praise just as our planner had for months. Our original DJ had kidney stones a day before our wedding and so was understandably unable to DJ at our wedding after weeks and weeks of planning meetings and discussions. I would say the unexpected news hit us hard, but I’m pretty sure the kidney stones hit our DJ harder. We had scripts that were timed to music for both our kiss and our grand entrance, details that our original DJ had learned and rehearsed, but on the evening before our wedding day, Matt from Black Tie Entertainment called us up and broke the news to us. He was very professional and reassured us that he was already working hard on our event and was rehearsing the scripts that required perfect timing. In talking to Matt over the phone, it was evident that he had already done his homework on all the particulars of our wedding even though the unexpected change in plans were just as new to him as it was for us. However, his familiarity with the ins and outs of our wedding set our minds at ease. The next day (our wedding day), Matt showed up on time and was rehearsing for our grand entrance until he could get it down perfectly consistently. His level of commitment for someone who was brought on to our wedding team less than 24 hours was professionalism at its finest. The kiss and grand entrance that were timed to music went PERFECTLY without a hitch. In fact, I don’t think there was a single guest who could have known Matt was not originally assigned to work our wedding. One more thing to brag about Matt is that we knew our wedding crowd was not the dancing type. We never had expectations that there would be people filling the dance floor. Even so, Matt still managed to get people out on the floor dancing with with DJing! Hats off to him and the Black Tie Entertainment Group! We really couldn’t have pulled off the evening without Matt! 5 out of 5 stars would recommend!

Me and my wife contracted several roles for our wedding to Black Tie Entertainment. We used their services to hire a DJ (Eddy Bobby) and day of coordinator (Becca Manning), and a Photobooth. Our primary focus of using Black Tie was to secure an experienced DJ who would be able to read the room and keep our guests out on the dance floor. We didn't give Eddy Bobby much to work with in terms of music preferences, songs that have to be played, or even genres. In meetings with him, he asked questions about guest ages, guest counts, how involved we wanted him to be (staying at his DJ booth, regularly on the mic to hype the crowd up, or even out on the dance floor). He used these meetings to get a sense for what he would play and then read the room throughout the night to see what songs were hits and which ones didn't work as well. We left every planning meeting with Eddy Bobby in a good mood and feeling confident that we made the right choice with him, and after the wedding those feelings were confirmed. He did an amazing job at keeping the dance floor full. Becca's experience as a day of coordinator was similarly impressive. We wanted to get a day of coordinator who had previously worked with the DJ since they would work together to make announcements and keep the night on schedule. What we didn't know was how much more Becca would be doing for us. The month of our wedding she was contacting our vendors making sure deliveries were set up on time and that we had checked all the boxes for everyone involved in the wedding. We worked with her to form a schedule for the night, leaning heavily on her expertise to have the evening flow well. During the rehearsal and ceremony she worked closely with our officiant to stage people where they needed to be and to send them down the isle when appropriate. Throughout the reception she was always close by to help solve problems. She allowed us to enjoy the wedding with our guests without any worries for how the night was progressing. She even played a huge part in setting up and tearing down our decorations so none of our guests would have to. I would not hesitate to recommend Black Tie Entertainment for any occasion. They have the ability to interview the staff before you book them. If you are considering their services, you should speak with them directly to really get a sense of how professional they are.

Eddy at black tie is absolutely phenomenal!!! My family is Colombian and wanted some great latin dance music and he delivered!!! He did a great job incorporating other pop and oldies just as we talked about in our prep meetings. At my wedding people jumped to their feet the first chance they got and never sat back down!! The music was so good that most people forgot to eat cake!!! My wedding was a PARTY because of Eddy, I can't thank him enough!!!

Awesome DJ!!! He totally captured the mood of my husband and my wedding. eddy even played some non -traditional songs from different cultures that we requested. He took the time to make sure that every weird request we made was respected and we love him for that… AND HIS AMAZING PERSONALITY.. I heard he started a Soul Train Dance line while I was taking newlywed pix!!! A great DJ and company.

We had a great experience with Black Tie Entertainment and DJ Stephi - we hired Stephi for full day DJ services, and she provided music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. We had a lot of varied song choices (and a hard time choosing some!) but she patiently guided us through the decisions and helped us where we were stuck. Our dance floor was packed the whole night - do the anniversary dance first like we did! - and everyone had such a great night and was highly complementary of song selection. We had a very wide range of guest ages and Stephi did a great job playing music from all eras for all guests to enjoy. Thanks so much, Stephi!

Eddy Bobby was wonderful to work with from day one. He was responsive and proactive to ensure our Christmas party was a success. On the day of the event, I arrived at the venue at our agreed upon time to find he had gotten there 2 hours prior and was already almost finished with his set up. He was entertaining and kept guest engaged on the dance floor. Everything was perfect.

11/10! Kevin was an awesome Dj, and anyone would be lucky to have him for their wedding. Kevin represented the Black Tie name well with his professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail. I was especially thankful for his accommodation of several "special songs", moments, and secret additions from family members into the schedule. Kevin welcomed all of our visions and desires related to music, audio, and energy for our perfect day. Kevin kept us on schedule for over a year with frequent meetings, and giving us clear deadlines to meet. He made the process easy and was an absolute blast to work with. Although our party brought enough energy to our dance floor, Kevin did an exceptional job at reading the vibe and maintaining that energy throughout. He incorporated all special moments and announcements and mixed in needed-slow songs into our otherwise 'lit' dance floor. Again, Kevin provided a 11/10 experience for us!

Black Tie was great for my wedding! We worked with Matt Johnson who was super helpful through the planning process, highly professional all throughout our reception and made for a wonderful night. He was skilled at keeping people dancing and engaged and was able to read the room very well for the kind of songs that were needed at what time. Can't say enough good things about our experience!

Kevin was a great DJ and host for our wedding. Throughout the entire process he was very easy to get in touch with and was very knowledgeable and detail oriented on how the whole night would go. With his expertise we were able to generate a day of timeline that flowed perfectly. As far as the music everything was great, he kept the party going and did everything we asked of him. Would 100% recommend Kevin for any event!

Working with Black Tie Entertainment, specifically our DJ John Lukehart, was an absolutely wonderful process. If you’re like us, and in totally new territory planning an event as big as a wedding, we cannot recommend their services enough. John took the time to at all of our pre-wedding meetings to listen to our requests, offer guidance, and help us feel at ease. The day of our wedding could not have gone smoother. John provided great service as our DJ and MC. As an MC, he kept things running effortlessly and energy up! And as a DJ, he kept everyone on the dance floor the entire time! He played the songs that were important to us while seamlessly mixing in some of his own recommendations. We had the best time, and our wedding would not have been the same without all of John’s hard work. 10/10!
