Great experience!!! Totally worth it. A lifetime memory to be honest. Everyone is so friendly, warm (despite being 11 out there) and knowledgeable. Peter (our guide) is a real dog-sled racer since ‘93. So kind, nice and truly an expert. So many stories to listen to. I’m bringing my entire family next time.

The dogs are well cared for and always up for a pat. The paths used are fun with hills and fast slopes. Thoroughly enjoyed the time spent at Snowhook. Great guides and warm clothes borrowed. Would go again and do other of the activities they offer. The driver used to take us to the venue was very helpful and willing to show us around after the event. We saw moose and reindeer on the way back via a few detours.

I’m telling you right now no amount of words will do this trip justice! Most incredible vacation we have ever had! Dog sledding, Snowmobiles, ice fishing, home made delicious meals, incredible customer service, running water, hot showers, and by far the most breathtaking views you can imagine.

Myself and a friend booked a tour for dog sledding, and it was the most magical tour! Our tour guide Peter, was super knowledgeable about the history of dog sledding, and he even competed and completed in the Iditarod race. The entire staff were super friendly and knowledgeable, I will book with Snowhook again, and recommend!

My friend and I came in October and we had Matt as our guide, he was absolutely stellar. He gave us the history of dog sledding before we headed out to meet the dogs. We felt like we were hanging out with a friend for the morning. There wasn’t any snow but we still got to go on wheels and we loved every second of it. Anna was awesome and very personable and was with us as we loved on the sled puppies. We highly recommend!!!

Our adventure with Snowhook is one I will never forget! My family did the 2D1N – Lodge, Dog Sled, Snowmobile & Northern Light Combo tour. The Snowhook facility is one of the most impressive, well-run operations I have ever seen. Our day started with getting picked up at our hotel in Anchorage. Our diver was very friendly, and even made a stop on the way up so we could get coffee. Once we arrived at Snowhook, we were promptly checked in and outfitted in their warm snow boots and suits. Then we were given a brief but very interesting lesson on the Iditarod and dogs. After this, we headed up to the dog yard where we got to meet all the pups as the team got them ready for sledding. The dogs are so friendly and well cared for. It is clear that he owners, Justin and Rebecca, care deeply about the dogs and treat them like family. Dog sledding was one of the most amazing experiences! The pictures speak for themselves… After dog sledding, we had chili for lunch then Matt got us started on snowmobiles. It was my first time on a snowmobile and his instructions made it so easy to get the hang of! He started out nice and slow until we got the hang of it, then let us have some fun! It was about a 2.5 hour snowmobile ride up to their overnight cabins. Once we arrived at the cabins, we were greeted by Jeff – who is an absolute enigma lol. We absolutely loved Jeff, maybe as much as we loved the dogs! Their cabins are brand new and so nice. The bathroom is separate, but just steps away from the cabins. It’s all warm and cozy! Jeff cooked us dinner and taught us all about the northern lights, but unfortunately it dumped a foot of snow overnight, so Aurora didn’t come out for us. It was still cool to learn about them, and we were very entertained at the cabins. The next morning we had breakfast, went out for another snowmobile ride, then headed home! Overall, this experience was incredible and I would definitely do it again. The Snowhook team puts so much care into every aspect of their tours. Don’t miss out!

A dog sled ride is a must do attraction when visiting Alaska in the winter time! This was our first time and Snowhook adventure is the best! Everyone you encounter from their staff is incredibly kind and informative. You can tell they love their job and teaching you about the dogs and racing. Jeremiah was an amazing tour guide! I love that you take turns sitting and standing to get bother experiences. Thank you guys for making this a memorable experience for us!

Such an amazing and fun experience!!! Highly recommend Snowhook. We chose the dog sledding, snowmobile, and Northern Lights package. They set us up with a super warm snowsuit and boots right away. The guides were fantastic and knew their stuff! We really appreciated all the background and information shared about dog sledding before we went out on the sled. It gave us a better perspective on the sport and it's very interesting. You can tell they truly love all the dogs. Snowmobiling was a lot of fun and the trails and views were beautiful. Mother nature decided not to show us the lights and it snowed instead. But even the snow was so magical. The cottage accommodations were great and we were fed very well. We are already talking about going back and doing the tours again. You will not regret booking with Snowhook!

I definitely recommend visiting Snowhook Adventure Guides of Alaska. I took a dog sled tour during the fall and had great time at the Snowhook Adventure Guides of Alaska. Directions that were given made it pretty easy to find. They were very accommodating when I had to reschedule the day before. It was truly an amazing “adventure.” We got to work with Jeremiah and he was so much fun. You get to witness the magnificent strength and agility of a team of Alaskan Huskies working together. To make things even better, you get to hold a few puppies. Thank you to everyone at the Snowhook Adventure Guides of Alaska.

My husband and I stayed two nights & three days and I would recommend the same amount of time and if they had more days available we would have stayed longer . We started off with dog sledding and the views and the knowledge that the staff has was incredible. Then after we had lunch and ended up snowmobiling up to the cabins , can’t recall the actual amount but over 26 miles and worth it you stop along the way and take the scenic route and end with a beautiful sunset . You get the cabins and they are so comfy and the sheets are so soft. They have shower’s at the cabins as well . Then a beautiful hang out spot with an amazing cook name Jeff, but he is more than just a cook is it the do it all handy man, great personality and so welcoming and the first night up there at the cabins we got to see the northern lights and Jeff gives you a lessons on how to find it . So much information. Then we went ice fishing and caught a few fish and it was a nice day out on the lake , the sun was beating down . There chairs for people to sit as well as tent and a heater if you get cold . Keep in mind we came here during January . The staff make you feel like family , and nothing less they are all so friendly & very family oriented. This place is a 10/10 and if I can give it more stars I would . For our first time to Alaska everything was WORTH IT .
