*** Updated. After a year and a half I’m still with this lovely community beading weekly. I feel so lucky! Even now while we’re all in quarantine with the virus, Bead Abode has arranged several Zoom opportunities each week to bead together—even continuing to offer instructions and virtual shopping with safe packaging and delivery. I love this place! *** I had such a wonderful time at my first Beading Brunch. I can't believe I've found a free weekly gathering of friendly, fellow bead enthusiasts--including lessons and even coffee and rolls. What a very welcomed surprise this group is! I loved learning a new stitch from very patient, helpful instructors. Large, beautifully stocked store.

Extremely friendly people. From entry to exit they were amazing. I asked about an item and was promptly shown where to find it. Masks are required. It was a decent sized store with loads of supplies. The only issue was they only had 3mm & 4 mm Swarovski crystals. I was needing 8mm. I'm new to Sarasota and this will be my local go to shop. They had so many myuki delicas I was in bead heaven..

Update again: Still love shopping with Bead Abode. After COVID19, they moved to online format and have continued to be great with customer service, and still have a great selection of the things I need and want! (Previous) I am always happy after shopping here. Friendly staff, clean and well lit, with good selection and prices. Not much more to say, the store just speaks for itself, really :) Actually, to update this a bit because I am so happy about this shop...after my latest visit, I asked a few questions including about a possible special order, and received great service as usual. I also witnessed great customer service to another customer who came in while I was shopping so I know that it's not just me.

I am new to Sarasota and I walked into Kirsten’s store and I was greeted with a friendly welcome. The shop is beautiful. It’s beautifully decorated and with a huge selection of beads. The prices are in comparison with the large craft stores but with a better quality and selection. Kirsten told me about a free beading brunch on Thursday and also some other classes. She is so talented and very kind. Three weeks later and I have completed some projects and cannot wait to go back each week. I have also taken a class with Lois and went back for help once; she is one of the nicest people I have ever met. I am very grateful to have found such an incredible place of creativity.

Wonderful place to shop as well as seek expert advise. The owner is very helpful, friendly and takes the time to answer questions and/or give informed advise. With the assistance she gave me, I created a finished piece that is not too shabby if I do say so myself. Some more practice and I am one step closer to my goals. Thank you!🙂

I love Bead Abode. I have had nothing but great experiences here. The staff is friendly and helpful. I’ve had a couple necklaces restrung here and each time they have gone above and beyond for me. AND they have a great selection for all your beading needs!

Sheer perfection in every way. It is difficult to give this shop five stars because they deserve ten! Loads of beads and supplies and classes are a blast! I have been going every Thursday for the brunch and new pattern as it is a way to learn and get help from others. I look forward to going to the paid classes during the week as I become more comfortable with my knowledge. This is the BEST bead store/class you could ever want in Sarasota. Now that I finally have Zoom installed properly everything was very good. Looking forward to next week. My very early attempts using zoom were quite challenging indeed. Definitely not because of the sessions themselves but of my poor understanding on how to make it work. Since I have had almost 3 years now to practise and subsequently have an understanding on how to make Zoom work for me, I have been 100% converted to the medium. The Bead Abode zoom sessions have been a life saver for myself and many other avid bead enthusiasts who spent quite a lot of time in isolation during the pandemic. We have been scattered all over the globe but still manage to maintain a close bond with our love of beading. Each week we have a new project to work on and it has been my greatest pleasure to lead the ladies through dozens of new beading techniques and projects. We will be forever indebted to Bead Abode for allowing us to continue with our numerous sessions each week. Now that the bricks and mortar store is once again back in full swing and offering in store classes, we will continue to offer more advanced projects online. We continually do our best to offer projects that can utilize beads sold in the store and hope you will be able to take advantage of all the wonderful products they have available. I look forward to the day when I can actually return to Florida and shop in the new store myself. Our return has been on hold due to some major health issues for myself last winter and my husband this winter. I am keeping my fingers crossed that next winter will see me back in Sarasota amongst all my beading friends and finally able to return to teaching classes in person.

Classes and supplies are better than the best!!!! Kirsten and her staff will teach you how to make bracelets, etc. that you want to wear. Yesterday, we were taught how to do the Russian Spiral. Easy, beautiful and even I (hard to believe) will be finished with it within the hour. Love the store, the classes, and the people. Friendly, helpful and beads galore to choose from. FUN!!!
