I’ve stayed at the White House Hotel 3 different times. I’ve stayed in all 3 rooms there, the Presidential Suite, the Bridal, and I can’t remember the name of the last one. All 3 rooms were full of history, well put together, comfortable and spacious. High ceilings, antique furniture, and beautiful decorations make this hotel a different experience. On top of that, since there are only 3 rooms in the hotel, you feel like you have a mansion to yourself. It’s the kind of place with privacy and autonomy that you won’t get anywhere else. Lastly, Sable (she checks you in and shows you the hotel) is an awesome person that is knowledgeable about the hotel and the city of Hermann. She works hard to make your stay comfortable and fun. You’ll be happy you stayed here. It’s very much worth the money

Time stood still for just a little while - at the White House Hotel. The courtyard was gentle and quiet, yet one can watch the passers by and remain connected while sipping a glass of wine. The Lovely Sable, my host, was elegant and kind - she shared her knowledge of the towns history and current events, and good restaurant suggestions. I was traveling alone for a few days and she made me feel welcome and seen. Thank you Sable 😊 The rooms were exceptional, perfect really - offerimg creature comforts, coffee, cookies, bottled water and real crystal and china. The claw foot tub offered a delightful soak in the surroundings of a different time - yes, time stood still for a little while and that is exactly what I wanted for my stay in Hermann.

Best get away ever. I highly recommend this for your next adventure. If your a history person, I would book this hotel. A walk around historic Hermon is fabulous.

Can’t say enough good things about our stay here. Great location, interesting historical building, and very thoughtful service. We loved being able to look around the preserved areas of the hotel and then retreat to our super comfy room. Many thanks to the friendly staff!

I was looking for somewhere interesting to stay while visiting for a wedding. The White House Hotel essentially also functions as a museum. You are free to explore the building, from the preserved bedrooms, to the ballroom, to the speakeasy in the basement. The White House Hotel is walking distance from everything in town, including the river, shops, and restaurants. The Amtrak lets off right in front of the hotel. The sound was not an issue personally. The area is otherwise very quiet. Sable was kind and welcoming. She gave a short tour of the property, left drinks in the public refrigerator, and the hotel was clean and comfortable. I recommend if you are not looking for a traditional hotel or Airbnb in the area.

This property is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. Not just a place to stay while visiting Hermann, but one of the highlights of our trip. Besides being luxurious, comfortable, and beautiful; the White House Hotel offers patrons the opportunity to step back into history while they walk throughout the gorgeously reconstructed 19th century hotel. Definitely allot time to walking throughout the grand hall, numerous rooms set up as they would have been when the hotel was first built, complete with historical and interesting information displays, and the underground speakeasy. On top of all the aspects of the property itself, Sable is an incredible host, whose care and enthusiasm really shines. She's delighted to share loads of history related to the hotel, give recommendations around town, and is also very responsive and helpful when checking in and during your stay. Enough cannot be said about Sable or the property, you will not regret staying here.
