Very well done course! My son and I played the Main (big?) wing. Lots of ups and downs, so bring your comfy shoes (it WAS an actual golf course after all). Very open course, but baskets placed in very strategic spots that still created a nice challenge. We also played their 9-home par 2 course afterwards, and it was fun and a challenge in itself! There are 2 other courses (I think) that we will have to return to. The owner, David Snow, was so welcoming to my son and I. He took a lot of time to talk to us, explain the history, and helped my 14 yr old pick out a new disc. We will definitely be back soon!

We visited 3 times this week while on vacation. We have never done disc golf before, and this was a fun experience. The owner David was super friendly and welcoming. Hunter was also very friendly and informative. We played the Woods course the majority of the time we were there to help get acquainted to disc golf. That course is only nine holes, and it is great for beginners. It is shaded in the woods, has some obstacles, and two diffetent skill levels. Our kids liked both, and you can get through a game in less than a half hour. We tried the Wing course once, but only made it through hole 4. That was only because our kids were getting hot and it was just a little too difficult for them. The food was absolutely delicious. Hats off to Hunter for the yummy bbq pulled pork sandwiches. Our oldest daughter had the chili dogs, which she loved. We learned the owner, David, makes the chili sauce and she loved it. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced - even if you wanted some adult beverages with your meal. The pro shop was very reasonably priced and would recommend purchasing disc's and other gear from here. We purchased two starter disc sets, a hoodie, dry fit t-shirt, vinyl sticker, and pin. We are going to be back in town over Christmas next year, and we will definitely be back then. We will probably purchase the week pass as well. If you are in the area and want to give disc gold a try, this is a great place to start.

What a beautiful course! Different in the way that it’s a REAL old golf course, with big views and with different altitudes. Very relaxing. Highly recommend it. Also the club house is newly renovated and has a full selection of discs of all varieties and brands. The owner, David Snow is nothing but extraordinary and took well care of all our guests!

I enjoyed both of the main courses. The tees on any course are the most important part of any dg course. Some of the tees need attention. It would also be nice if the tee markers were moved farther to the sides on the smaller tees. I hit my foot on the follow thru of 2 of the tee markers on some drives. I think if the Talon course was about 1000-1500 ft longer it would definitely be Pro Tour caliber.

This restaurant is located inside the Shenandoah lodge property and we were lucky enough to find it on a weekend getaway! This was the best BBQ I think I have ever had. My husband had ribs and they were great too. This restaurant has a great atmosphere complete with TVs and beverages. There is Disc Golf competitions also on the property with plenty of parking and outside seating by the restaurant and picnic tables. This is a must-stop if you are anywhere in the vicinity.

This is a great time for the family. I highly recommend checking it out. Not only do they have fantastic food and hospitality there are three excellent courses to try out. Then once you’re done you can hang out in the shop that has a myriad of different disc brands including Innova, dynamic discs and Lattitude and have a beer with the owner David Snow. Great people. Great place. Great time!

Absolute gem of a course. Long, bombing fairways with some sharp, technical, wooded holes mixed in. What you would expect from a top-notch ball golf course converted for disc. Course is very well maintained, and the pro-shop is well-stocked (with restaurant and bar as well!). Definetley worth the 11 hour drive down from Maine!

DISC GOLFER'S PARADISE Went to Raptor's Roost for the first time this past weekend. WOW! It did not disappoint. Amazing golf, well stocked proshop, and the bbq-focused restaurant & bar with the best ribs. A few highlights: - 2 pro-level courses with multiple teepads and baskets - perfect for ANY skill level. - Amazing mix of tight wooded lines and open "grip it n rip it" shots - Course is well-maintained and grass cut low where needed. - Clubhouse is just the icing on the cake. The ability to cool off, have food/drink between rounds/ after is clutch. And Jomez was on the TV! Seriously, don't sleep on RR. A true destination spot.

Had our first experience at disc golf here yesterday and totally enjoyed it! The gentleman that was there working was very helpful and informative. He treated us as the beginners we were and explained it to us. We would definitely recommend it and plan to go back.

This course is a great course, sort of a hidden gem in the area. There are multiple tees on each hole, so if you're a more serious player, there's plenty of opportunity for a challenge. My only advice would be to come prepared, especially if it's a warm day. It's kind of a hilly course with a lot of walking and not a ton of shade on the course itself. If you're planning on only playing nine holes, you'll still be on the far end of the course after hole 9 and still a pretty good distance from the clubhouse. I guess what I'm saying is wear your walking shoes and bring plenty of water and sunscreen. The owner and the men working in the clubhouse could not have been more kind and welcoming. Highly recommend.
