I have very much enjoyed taking guitar lessons as an adult from Evan along side with my young daughter. Evan has an amazing temperament and a passion for teaching musicians of all ages. He designed lessons with music I like to play making it so much fun. Evan is patient and kind and I would recommend his music academy to everyone.

What a great experience! My kids love taking Piano and Guitar lessons at Evan's Music Academy. My son had previously taken guitar lessons at a different music school and the lessons were very dry and technical. No so at Evan's! They are learning the same necessary technical stuff but with the additional benefit of engaging lessons. They get to play popular songs they hear on the radio starting on day one and it helps to make them feel accomplished and gives them the motivation they need to work on the technical details. I recommend Evan's Music Academy to anyone looking for music lessons that are both challenging and creative.

We’ve been taking from Evan for about 8 months and have been very happy with his teaching. One of my daughters plays acoustic guitar and the other plays piano. Evan is amazing and so talented. He allows the kids to play music they’re interested in, and will even transcribe any song they request. He’s very good about accommodating make-ups, which we really appreciate. We can’t say enough good things about EMA!

My daughter enjoys learning piano as they practice both classical technique and fun, contemporary songs. Evan has been teaching my 8 year old son Connor guitar lessons since January of 2020. With all of the changes this year has brought, I have been very impressed by Evan's ability to adapt and continue providing high quality instruction. As a teacher myself, I understand the challenges, and I appreciate the way Evan has shown his commitment to the success of his students. I am so amazed at how much my son has learned in such a short time, especially since he's received a mixture of in-person and mostly virtual lessons. Connor really enjoys the lessons, and we feel so lucky that he's able to learn from such a caring, patient, kind teacher. Connor loves choosing which songs he learns and he often chooses songs he enjoys hearing on the radio, which I think motivates him to keep learning. It's so nice that Evan gives his students choices in the learning process. I can't recommend him more!

Evan has been teaching two of my sons, age 8 and 10, drums and guitar lessons for almost 3 years now. He is a kind, wildly talented, encouraging and engaging music teacher! My kids have soared in their musical abilities over the last three years and have gained an incredible amount of confidence and skill on their instruments under Evan’s adept teaching style. He has instilled in my boys what I believe will be a lifelong love of music and I could not recommend him highly enough!!

We have been so impressed with Evan’s Music Academy. Evan is a caring, compassionate and exciting instructor for both of our children (9 and 13) who are learning acoustic guitar, ukelele and piano from him. Zoom lessons online are easy, professional and above par. Evan uses current music and technology to keep the kids interested and engaged; we are happy clients!
