I can’t say enough wonderful things about My Family Birth Center! I started going to MFBC at the start of my third pregnancy, and from the moment I walked in felt comfortable and welcomed thanks to Ellie! She always has a smile and a warm “Hello” as soon as you walk through the door! Unfortunately that pregnancy ended in a miscarriage- when I called the office with my initial concerns, Ellie immediately found 3 different times I could come in that same day and was so supportive as we got the not so great news. A few months later we found out we were pregnant again and Ellie was so excited and made sure I could get in for an appt. asap so I could have some blood test done to make sure everything looked good this time around! The midwives at MFBC are literal angels on earth- it’s honestly hard to put into words how amazing my entire experience with all the midwives were. Loretta, Anastasia and Dionne did most of my prenatal appointments- They were always so sweet with my other two kids, including them in different aspects of the appointments. They always had great suggestions for questions and great information that made me feel empowered with my prenatal/ birth decisions. I loved how during one of my appointments they went through my entire birth plan with me and even asked me my opinion about things that I hadn’t even thought about- I truly loved how thorough they were in making sure all of my wishes were heard. I had a home birth attended by Loretta, Jamie and Brin. Loretta was so encouraging through the labor process and her presence brought such a calm and peaceful atmosphere to my birthing space. I feel truly blessed to have had her be a part of my birth story. Jamie and Brin were also amazing, the three of them were so respectful and sweet. I didn’t see as much of the behind the scenes of the midwife’s work but my mom couldn’t stop raving about how organized/ helpful/ respectful they all were from the moment they got to the house until they left. Having mine and the baby’s 2 day postpartum check at our house was so nice! I also love that they have a 2 week and a 6 week postpartum visit and both were much more in-depth than what I was used to going to a 6 week pp visit at an OB’s office. Jamie was so knowledgable on the issues I was having postpartum and gave me some great recommendations for natural and diet related solutions which I really appreciated! Thanks to My Family Birth Center, I had my dream home birth and my only regret was not having this experience with my first two kids! Their name suits them so well because I truly feel they all became a part of our family and I can’t thank them all enough for everything they did for our family.

My family birth center is incredible! It is so important to me to have my maternity care centered around me individually. The midwives always have time to listen to concerns, offer advice, & share their expertise while still honoring the expecting mother & her valuable intuition about her body & her baby. Their medical training and expertise allowed me to feel totally confident in the safety of me and my baby. Their facility is amazing! It's beautiful & calming with a variety of support options for labor including tub/shower, hanging silks, birth balls, & more. The lights all dim & music of choice can be played throughout the center to create a beautiful atmosphere for the baby to join his or her family. My family birth center has a dedicated team to support all types of natural birth while also including the expectant mother's support team in the special experience. I greatly appreciated their willingness to consult via text when I had concerns (I had some premature labor at 31 weeks followed by lots of prodromal labor until I was overdue so I had lots of questions). They checked in with me frequently & listened to my concerns & updates with endless patience. They offer free lactation & birth prep classes all clients are invited to attend before the birth. I also loved the 2-day postpartum home visit so I didn't have to bundle up my newborn. If you are looking for a natural birth where you feel great connection to your birth partner, baby, & birth team, you should definitely sign up for a free consultation! I would definitely choose them for my future prenatal care & highly recommend My Family Birth Center to all my friends & family!

Couldn’t recommend this birth center enough! They are so professional, yet personal in their approach. It feels like a special sisterhood there, which was such an ideal environment to have a natural birth. They are so adaptive to your needs and make you feel right at home. Loretta went above and beyond to make our experience wonderful, and I am so so grateful for Dionne! I had only met her the week of my birth and she was my head midwife. She is incredibly knowledgeable and I would go through that experience with her time and time again. The rooms are beautiful and clean. 10/10 recommend!

I had a wonderful experience at My Family Birth Center. They provided excellent prenatal care, education, and were very caring throughout my labor experience. I would highly recommend this birth center if you are interested in having a natural childbirth and an all around good experience where you will feel cared for, supported, empowered, and in good hands. Having experienced both the birth center experience and the hospital experience, I will definitely be going to the birth center for my future pregnancies and births. The environment and culture at this birth center provide the experience and atmosphere needed to have an informed and supported pregnancy and birth - which is not only important for mom, but also for baby. The midwives are definitely in tune with the spiritual nature of child birth and deeply respect the amazing miracle that pregnancy and childbirth is. All of my birth preferences were respected and not only that but valued. You can tell that it is not just another day of work for them but an important event of welcoming a new life! The support in the postpartum period is outstanding as well.

Loved my experience here. The care was top quality and for the first time I felt fully supported in birthing the way I felt was best. I have birthed with other midwives at other birth centers and felt pushed to use interventions when my labor wasn’t progressing as quickly as they liked… even though it was just fine. I felt nothing but support and patience in this birth. Loretta is an amazing midwife and takes care of her mothers like no other! You will not regret choosing my family birth center!

I absolutely love the midwives here. They have been the most supportive group of women. I loved that the listened to my concerns and preferences when it came to my prenatal care and birth. The birth center is peaceful and beautiful. They are welcoming of children and everyone is very friendly. Loretta is the most calm, happy, grandmotherly midwife that one could ever have. Due to a speedy delivery I was unable to have my baby born at the birth center, but Loretta and Anastasia quickly pivoted and came to my home to care for me and my baby. Honestly, after the care I received I wish I had done a home birth for my previous 2 kids! They are the best!

I have nothing but good things to say about My Family Birthing Center! The prenatal care was diligent but also flexible with my preferences and personal decisions. Labor and delivery will aways be intense but my delivery with them was as low stress as it possibly could have gone. The owner of the birthing center and midwife Loretta Shupe was especially dedicated to giving us the natural birth of our choice and making sure we were safe and healthy through the whole process. We live in Evanston, WY, and she came all the way to our house for our first postpartum checkup. They were also prepared for an emergency, as I started bleeding more than normal and they were quickly able to administer the necessary treatment to stop the bleeding. The entire staff is very friendly and truly cares. I will be doing any future births at this birthing center!

I am so grateful to have been able to deliver at the birth center. I won’t lie that even after I started care there I had doubts it was the right place for me, but I also desperately wanted a different experience than I had with my first baby and knew that if I never tried something different i would never know if pregnancy and birth could be different. And I’m happy to report that it was wildly different in a very good way! Despite having a preterm labor threat and transferring care to another hospital backed midwife,The birth center welcomed me back when I made it to 37 weeks and provided so many answers to my questions and concerns. The midwives were truely the support that I needed to help me through labor and made up for all that I couldn’t prepare for in labor. I was especially grateful that I was able to easily get in contact with them after we had gone home after the birth and during pregnancy when difficulties arose. My husband even commented on the difference that he saw during the birth experience and was grateful for it.
