Finally conquered it. Started at 2am and ended at 7pm. I did start at the parking lot and did not camp like lost people do. I Woudl recommended camping it in the evening and submitting early with a 3am start. Def not a hike for the faint of heart. Class 4 scrambles with little room for errors. Good gripping rock just make sure is not wet or loose. Three point contact in this area after K2 is important. Bring plenty of water and snacks. Allow yourself time to enjoy the summit as I did it in a hurry and of course becareful with the afternoon storms. Enjoy!! Follow my adventures on chileno_hikertron if you like 😁👊🏼🙌🏼

Conquered the 14er of all 14ers here in Colorado. A very memorable climb with some awesome people in the group. Recommend checking forecast for weather conditions, and checking the colorado 14ers webpage for update. Go at your own risk, be careful, slow and slow is the tempo, and trust your guts! Probably one of best climb here in Colorado and one of my favorite climb. Capitol Peak is dangerous and daunting, but worth the accomplishment when you're at the summit. Be safe and have a great time!

Climb this and you’re a verified Mtn Climber. Probably also a super hero. Don’t be afraid of heights. Don’t be afraid of walking on 60 degree slopes glaciers. Don’t be afraid of straddling Knifes Edge with nothing but air on the left side, and nothing but other air on the right side. Stay topside. Plan ahead. Be excited. Was told by a guy running up it training for the Himalayans- this is the most treacherous dangerous 14’er in the states. Or Colorado anyway. I felt like he was right afterwards. But then, anytime you dangle from a cliff, you feel like that’s treachery. Be tenacious. Don’t give up. You’ll make it. You’ll be in limited Company. Enjoy the Maroon Bells while you’re there!

A breath-taking adventure to over 14,000 feet elevation. Not only is the approach beautiful, but the views from the summit will amaze. The final segments of the trip when things become Class 4 will be challenging and rewarding.

Just gorgeous climbing! Picture shows the incredible Knife Edge to the Summit from K2. After k2, it was becoming windy, we debated, but kept pushing to the summit, ---- glad we did.
