An increadible place to stay. Homey, warm, and cozy. A farm house in the country, away from the noise of the city. We spent 3 days there and enjoyed all our time there.

It was an honor and a privilege to stay at this wonderful, cozy farmhouse. The art was beautiful and the beds all very comfortable. The fresh eggs were a bonus and so lovely to see the beautiful chickens that produced them! The guestbook was extremely helpful and strongly recommend the FB page before you come as she has great recommendations. I loved walking the roads around here. Soren and Irene are perfect hosts as they are readily available but not intrusive. I will be back!

We just arrived home from staying at Green Acres for the third time in less than two years. We love it there. It absolutely feels like home away from home. Irene & Soren are gracious hosts; they are accommodating and make you feel very welcome. We love the location, too, as it's only a 15 minute drive to Montpelier or Barre, but it's rural enough where you really get to soak in the Vermont country side. Definitely looking forward to our next stay at Green Acres. It really is the place to be.

Green acres is located on a picturesque country road. The accommodations have a private entrance and are homey with a comfy bed in the bedroom, a living room with plenty of seating, and small but well equipped kitchen. The hosts are helpful and extremely thoughtful as evidenced by small details, both decorative and functional everywhere. The space was extremely clean and even had an air filtration device. We would definitely go back as well as recommend to friends.

Green Acres is a great place to stay. Very private and very inviting! Irene and Soren have done a great job to set up this apartment with everything you need, it is super clean, and very comfortable with great views of the surrounding countryside. They have put together a book with excellent suggestions for activities and places to eat locally. I'll definitely be back!

Green Acres is the perfect spot for a VT getaway! My husband and I came up for a friend's wedding and loved staying here for the weekend. The apartment is cozy and very clean with charming decor and amenities. We were also lucky to have farm fresh eggs in the fridge! Irene and Soren were wonderful hosts - although they were away for the weekend, they checked in with us frequently and were very responsive to messages. Green Acres is surrounded by hiking trails in East Montpelier and is just 15 min away from Montpelier by car. There is a helpful guidebook in the apartment with recommendations for local eateries, hikes and other activities! We would highly recommend staying here and look forward to returning again soon.

I rented this spot for family visiting from out of town so they could experience a bit of pampering, while being close-by in our little rural corner of Vermont. While I didn't get to stay at Irene and Soren's myself, my uncle loved it! He appreciated the farm-fresh goodies, ample snacks and other nice touches, along with a comfy bed and lovely location. Irene's communication was quick and friendly and everything felt easy and relaxed. I will definitely keep this spot at the top of my list for hosting out-of-town folks who want a true rural Vermont experience with all the touches of home.

We had unexpected free days with everything cancelled and schools closed in this pandemic and decided to have a family time in an isolated farm house. I expected just some boring but relaxing days here, but my family actually had much fun in and outside the house and downtown Monpelier. The house was cozy and had everything for a family with kids, and it was fun to see the chickens hanging around the backyard and meet the dog and the cat that are living there. The host was kind and generous to give us extra fresh eggs which were the most delicious ones I had so far. What was impressive about the downtown was that the price was very low at the antique shop, so we picked up many fancy stuff at an affordable price.

This farmhouse is the perfect getaway during the autumn season! Irene and Soren are incredible hosts and neighbors. They are very responsive, knowledgeable and friendly, and even left us fresh chicken eggs in the mornings. The house was clean, spacious and centrally located. We recommend: tea on the porch with Henry the cat in the mornings, raw milk/bacon from the cow farm next door, maple creemes at Bragg farm, grilled cheese sandwiches at Red Hen bakery, cider/doughnuts at Burtt's Apple Orchard, Mt Mansfield loop hike, Mt Pisgah hike and Camel Hump hike. We hope to stay again someday.
