The customer service here is awesome! The husband and wife team are very kind and very helpful. The poke bowls are definitely up there in flavor with the best on the island, in my opinion, and I have tried just about all the best spots, and I bet you probably haven't even heard of some. Today, I tried the poke salad with Spicy poke (different than most on island, and ono) and the Kabayaki Shoyu (ono, definitelylil sweet and savory) mix poke bowl with bomb crab salad, and the pickled cucumbers is mean! Mahalo guys 🤙🏼 I definitely would prefer spring mix as the salad, (😉) but i know it does cost more. They will ask you if you have any questions and also offer suggestions based on what you like. It was my first time there today, and they made me feel comfortable, like a friend would do. True Aloha spirit here! I will be trying one of their specials tomorrow and will post pictures here. Maybe update the post as well. The area has been transformed for food trucks on a previous grass area on the side of the road. Check my reviews, I know food! For you tourists, just go try um! Edit second day! The night marchers special is fire, literally! Lol Very tasty with heat/spice! If you like spicy food, you will like this. They are so kind they seen my review and actually got me spring mix on my plate today! Amazing people/business owners! Mahalo

I recently had the pleasure of eating at Ry's Poke Shack, and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight. The owner took the time to explain the menu and offer some fantastic suggestions. The food itself was beyond delicious - hands down the best poke on the island! The fish was incredibly fresh, bursting with flavor in every bite. Yes, it can get a bit busy at times, but trust me when I say that it is absolutely worth the wait. They were also featured in a Netflix series “Street Food USA” and I can see why, a must try if you’re in the North shore!

I'm not a poke expert and have been underwhelmed by stuff I can find in WA. I decided to try this place on a whim. It has totally changed my mind! I bought the garlic wave and nightmarcher as a combo. Wolfed it down after a morning of bird watching at James Campbell NWR. Super friendly staff! Bought the Yuzu Wasabi as takeaway. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely love this place. Was recommended by my local friends. My wife and I shared the nachos. It was amazing. Will come back every time we come to the island. You have to try this place out. But get there early.

Ry's Poke Shack has the feeling of authentic Hawaiian seafood served up fresh. Ry and his wife are very kind and speedy. The food was exceptional-- fresh with lots of veggies and exciting flavors. There was a bit of a line, but the super friendly conversation made it all worthwhile!

If you're on the hunt for genuine, delicious Poke in a serene and picturesque environment, Ry's Poke Shack in Kahuku in the old Sugar Mill is your go-to destination. As an Arizona native, finding fresh fish is a rarity, so during our brief visit to the stunning North Shore of Oahu, Ry's Poke Shack was a must-try on our culinary journey. Our expectations were not only met but surpassed. We arrived around 2 pm on our final day, and fortuitously, we were told there was just enough of their delicious rice for one more bowl. My wife, understanding my eagerness to try their offerings, chose the Poke Nachos, allowing me the pleasure of the bowl. Both dishes were exceptional! The highlight, however, was the interaction with Ryan, the owner. He engaged in a detailed conversation about my preferences and dislikes. He then proposed, and I eagerly accepted, a custom-made Hawaiian-style bowl, with the addition of crab salad. The result was nothing short of phenomenal, as was the whole experience. The Shack offers several picnic tables, both open-air and sheltered. My wife and daughter were equally impressed with the nachos, quickly finishing them off. We also had the pleasure of meeting Ryan's wife, Khannie. This was the most intimate and personal dining experience we had in Hawaii, deeply appreciative of the dedication, professionalism, and effort put into our meal. It truly felt like a slice of Hawaii itself.

We’re from Sydney and made sure to come all the way to Kuhuku to try Ry’s poke after seeing it on Netflix Street Foods and I must say, it was well worth it! Ry himself put together our order since we arrived just 10 minutes before closing time and our interaction was super memorable. We got the combo meal as well as the Poke Nachos and it was one of the best we’ve had in Oahu.

Awesome spot! I let Ry suggest a poke bowl for me and got the Nightmarcher - it was perfect. Friendly service and great food, you have to stop by if you're in the area.
