This office is without a doubt the worst I have dealt with of any doctor I have ever been to. I call them regularly and never get a call back. I've been trying to get preauthorization for my ADHD medication for nearly 6 months now with no success and no one returns my calls about it. I'm now struggling just to get a prescription sent to my pharmacy for my antidepressants, which is nearly out by now, with no luck. I'm grateful for my therapist I met through here, but the rest of GenPsych is a constant source of added stress in my life. I would advise someone looking for mental health assistance to go just about anywhere else.

NOTICE !! Most of the positive reviews only made 1 previous review, so they are probably made by staff. This place is a complete joke and only cares about $$$$. They completely lied to a family member about a certain treatment Program and then refused to change the Therapist when her Therapist turned out to be under-qualified and had ZERO work experience. MOST of the experienced Therapists are Supervisors who let VERY INEXPERIENCED counselors treat patients. PLEASE do not even think about going to this place if you care for your family or friend. You WILL be sorry.

This place was hands down the worst place I've dealt with ever. It's always a problem getting medication refilled. If you leave a message, you never get a call back. They care more about money than taking care of the patient. They refused to see me AND prescribe a refill on my medication because of a $150 balance on my account. Come to find out, they were sending the bill to the wrong address all along, so I had no idea about a balance as it was never mentioned to me verbally. Joette, one of the Admistrative Assistants, is very rude and passive aggressive. I don't know how she has a job. She does not know how to speak to people kindly. There are so many other options these days for mental health and I am very pleased with my new facility. Stay away from this place if patient care is important to you.

This has been the best experience of my life. Hands down. The therapists and doctors are the most professional, kind hearted, and helpful folks I've ever had. I've already taken away so much from my time here than my YEARS of therapy. The days are long but fruitful. There are also lots of small breaks in between to help alleviate the stress. The other "patients" have been so wonderful and I can't say I've been able to relate to so many people in a single space...ever. Everyone gets it. I hope whoever reads this is inspired enough to give the programs a chance. It's not as bad as you might think!

Leslie is a very nice professional doctor that I enjoy meeting with. She always has my best interests at heart. I have always had great experiences with Gen Psych and Staff.

Other GenPsych’s in the NJ Area will provide you with more genuine and appropriate service than Bridgewater GenPsych.

Years ago, I saw this doctor, who was a Black Male Doctor when I was 19 years old back in January 2010. This doctor, who ran GenPhysic who ran GenPhysic in Bridgewater, New Jersey off of route 22 threatened me or blackmailed me to taking medication, by saying, "If you don't agree to be on medication, I will have you put in a Mental Institution." I think the doctors name is Dr. Odulame if I'm not mistaken. But this doctor was extremely unpleasant when I met him. And I believe this doctor knows the history about Mental Institutions or Mental Asylums, where they would treat their patients in a inhumane manner. And these mental institutions or mental asylums used to practice sterilization, where they would sterilized their patients against their patients will. And I think that this doctor had every intention to have me put in a mental institution in the hopes that I would be sterilized if I choose not to be on medication. I felt so dehumanized for the way this doctor talked to me. I want a lot of people who reads this to know what kind of person this doctor is.

My time at genpysch showed me the only thing this facility cares about is fleecing you for your money, and then let you go when they got enough of it. The psychiatrists clearly did not care about the patient, but only taking standard questions at check in’s and booting you out the door for his next apt. Certain therapists are good; ironically those therapists were the interns. The one-on-one counselors who had been there for quite some time clearly showed you are only important to them as far as their paycheck is concerned. Genpysch Bridgewaters structure was also unorganized and unprofessional, leaving the patients in a state of confusion and anxiety. I feel I wasted both my time and money at Genpsych. When they got enough money out of me, they kicked me out of the program in a totally messed up way, there is no way they didn’t know how it would affect me but they chose to do it anyway. For them, it’s ok though because there’s always a revolving door of more people to fleece. We are fortunate to have excellent mental health services in the state of NJ. I recommend checking out different facilities. Genpysch is not good.

My 15 year-old son found the GenPsych program to be completely transformational. He was in really dark place when we found the program for him, but gradually, with the help of the peer support, therapist, and psychiatrist evaluations, he came out of it and thankfully hasn't looked back. No parent could express the relief I feel at being able to report this. Since graduating from the program, my son was able to stay under the auspices of GenPsych for the purposes of ongoing medication and I have to say the clinical specialist he was assigned to is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He actually looks forward to and even enjoys meeting her over Zoom on a monthly basis to review his meds. Every step has been perfectly professional and I literally couldn't fault the team.

Dr. Jobin has been my brothers therapist for many years. Always thorough and helpful in determining life decisions, medication and in general an overall profoundly perceptive and sympathetic view on life. We feel very fortunate in having him in our life!!!
