When I walked into the Studio I was struck how relaxed and friendly everyone is! The beginner group class was easy to follow.. and super fun! I have also watched their Showcases and I've seen Richard and Claire dance! (Richard and Claire are the owners and teachers) We are so lucky to have world-level instructors in this area!

Been dancing with Ballroom at it's best for about 3 years now. Claire is a highly qualified dancer & dance instructor. Classes are fun, organized and low pressure. I started with beginner group lessons with and without a partner, then moved into intermediate group classes and currently attending Claire's advanced group class. I've always felt comfortable and had a great time in Claire's classes. I highly recommend these classes for any couples looking for a fun night out or singles who just want to learn to dance.

My two sons started attending the children's beginner class nearly a year ago (ages 5 & 7) and we have had such a great experience! The instructors, especially Ms. Nadiya, are very welcoming and patient, and keep the kids focused and engaged while never getting frustrated with them. My boys love her! Nadiya, along with Claire and Richard, put on really fun Showcases which have been very enjoyable to watch and be a part of. Ballroom at it's Best has earned my highest recommendation!

In addition to the free introductory lesson I had two private lessons with Claire, to choreograph a mother-son wedding dance. My son does not live in town, but Claire actually made it possible for us to learn the dance together via zoom! She gave us enough practice to feel comfortable and secure (I am a true beginner) but also made the dance creative enough to be fun. I highly recommend her!

Loved working with Claire for our wedding dance! At first, we were not sure whether or not we wanted to choreograph a dance for our first dance. To start, my now husband and I took a 7-week session adult group class just to learn how to dance together. It ended up being a really nice weekly date night for us and a great way to learn the basics in a very low stress environment. In the end we did decide we wanted a choreographed dance and are so glad we did! We signed up for 5 private classes with Claire. She was a great and encouraging instructor. She was open to modifying the choreography and helped us cut our song to the desired length. We nailed the dance at our reception and apparently there was a lot of happy tears in the crowd. It ended up being a really memorable moment at the wedding and so glad we ended up going with choreography (otherwise, we would have awkwardly swayed for 3 minutes). Would highly recommend going here for your wedding dance or even just for a fun weekly date night!

We are so happy that our daughter is learning from such high level professionals as Richard and Claire, who are three times Canadian Champions and ranked 17th in the world, and happen to be right here in Ann Arbor! Our daughter loves the studio, and her dancing has improved noticeably since she joined. The instructors are fun and easy going, and amazingly the prices are no higher than at other studios in the area.

I love Ballroom At It’s Best! I take private lessons with Claire and Richard and my 6 year old takes the beginner children’s class. We are so thankful to have found them. They are professional and motivational teachers who make ballroom fun. It is a beautiful large studio and I love supporting a local small business. My daughter and I now share this love of ballroom dancing, an activity that can be practiced over a lifetime at any age! Thank you Claire and Richard!

My wife and I are in our second beginner session, having attended the first 8-week session in the fall. This has been so much fun for us! We can be tired near the end of the week and end of the day, but once we get on the dance floor, the fatigue goes away and Claire's energy and clear instruction refocuses us on dancing. The 45-minute classes are ideal for us - the time moves quickly, but it's the right amount of time to stay engaged and energized. This could be one of my favorite activities of the week. In our classes, we've seen young couples, senior couples, individuals who come alone - it's a mixed group. Clearly, this is something everyone can enjoy. I'm so happy we found this place and I hope we can continue to enjoy this for many years.

We came here to learn our first dance for our wedding and the experience was great! We had zero previous dance experience and Nadia was super helpful and sweet. She taught us the basic ropes and helped us come up with a special intro and ending. Our guests loved our first dance and were very impressed!

My wife and I competed in ballroom dancing for 7 years (back in our twenties), and our former coaches were 5-time World Ten-Dance Champions. We enrolled our 10 year daughter in Claire's kids group classes and have been extremely pleased. The kids are having a blast and learning to dance with proper technical skills at the same time! The monthly social dance parties are fun and the showcase dances/dance shows twice a year are even better. We are so happy we found this studio!
