Utter authenticity here, in a small strip mall restaurant. This is southern Indian vegetarian food at its best. This is simple food, packed with punch, flavor and love. If you have questions ask the really helpful folks behind the counter, they will guide you. But, also, take risks and order items you haven't tried before. You cannot go wrong.

Everything we ordered exceeded our expectations! If you want a dish that will please everyone in the family, I would recommend the masala dosa. The most eclectic eaters and the pickiest eaters all liked it.

The street food is amazing. Luckily I went with an Indian so I could figure out what to order as I would have no idea by names alone. Have been here several times and will go back again to try out some more.

Shreeji vegetarian Indian food is the perfect place for you!! If you are looking for well prepared truly authentic Indian food with all of the herbs & spices then This is your spot. I had the spicy veggie rice. And when I say spicy I really mean spicy! I enjoyed my meal and so will you. For authentic Indian food head down to Shreeji. I give it 4 crown's only because they don't serve chicken.👑👑👑👑

They have a large selection of "street food," from various parts of India and some Chinese fair. We ordered the Gujarati Thali. It was ready in about 10 minutes. It consists of various types of food from the Gujarat area on a round plater. The food was hot and had good flavor. It also came with a cup of a savory yogurt drink. I also had the mango lassi (yogurt & mango drink). It was a bit too salty and the $5 price is somewhat high. The place could also be cleaner. There was a fly buzzing around our table. Perhaps that is part of the "street food" experience 🤔

Absolutely fantastic! 10/10 would recommend to all! Many carnivores/omnivores may pause at vegetarian food, but I loved every delicious bite. Great portion sizes, great value, excellent service, and very filling, too!

This place used to be good but not anymore! Ordered gobi Manchurian dry with highest spice level and after 10min they called my order# and asked again is it dry or gravy! Once it came to table that was with spice level 1 walk to sweet. Gobi Manchurian was not at all crispy felt like rubber. Also the veg Manchurian with Hakka noodles was way too sweet, too much ketchup and tasted like they added sugar syrup to it. Look at the texture in the photo! By the way they have a tip option while ordering itself, would've been a fool of I tipped a cent!

Good place to have some variety food. Good selection, good price and big enough portion of food for the price. Went there around 7pm on Friday. They are quite a busy but did not have to wait too long. If you call Olive Garden same time & Same day - you have to wait there for at least 90minutes before you gets table. 10mins wait and you are at order desk. Not bad. Order taker is well informed and gives advice depends on your choice. She was not in hurry, not trying avoid your questions or concerns (which adds up waiting time for fellow customers, so I did not mind waiting). Got the food in next 10 minutes. Got the food (in Pictures) with great taste and good size portion. With less then $30 family of 4 are well fed. If I go to Olive Garden or any Indian Restaurant, it would have cost me $50+. So it is good for your pocket and family enjoy variety of Indian Food. Over all great place, great food and great people with best service. Owner and his wife asked us about quality of food or we have any concerns. Good attitude towards customer. Thanks for long awaited Indian street food place. One of the best in Louisville. Will visit again soon.

If happiness has a place, it must be found next to the LIVE PANIPURI STALL of this place!! If you are in Louisville and craving the streetfood of India, look no further than Shreeji. I am a strict critic of Indian food as most places dont do justice to the flavors of India. I was in Louisville and my friend recommended this place to me so I had to try out. When I see goras and desis flocking to eat at a place it raises some curiosity in me. The live panipuri stall took me back to my childhood days when in India we used to stand around “the showman” waiting patiently for our turn. The panipuri bhaiya was fast and furious with the stuffed spicy deliciousness. I wish I had more time to savor each bite. Very authentic flavor, not compromised to meet the standards of the faint hearted. We also ordered khaman dhokla, mirchi bhaji and dahi vada. All three were fresh and top notch. I finished it off with a flavorful elaichi chai. We ordered more food to go as I wanted to soak it all as much as I could. Fast service, fresh food, sweet front desk staff. TLDR- one of the best chaat and street food I have had in US. Must try! My new fav place in Louisville

Today was the third time I have been to this restaurant and probably my last. I appreciate that they make no onion no garlic food for us separately but the quality keeps dropping every time. I have attached pictures of Aloo paratha from today which not only was thick and raw but also had no salt. I ordered this paratha because the first time we came here I had really liked it. Upon complaining to the boy at the counter his reply was, “I will look into it” and then he forgot about it. My husband for the second time went and complained to another guy that was there and this time i took the paratha with me to show him. I told him there was no salt and the answer i got was, “Alloo paratha is not supposed to have salt in the filling just the dough should have salt!” So i got really annoyed and had to tell him about the raw dough served. They then ended up making another paratha for us. Also we ordered chana masala which had no salt whatsoever. We ordered Khasta Kachori which had 1 tiny kachori with just veggies and chutneys and yogourt. If you are really hungry you can stop by here but otherwise I do not recommend anyone!!

Really good place to have chats. Masala dosa was huge. I loved their rose milk. I bought paneer tikka pizza it was bit sweet, I was expecting it to be spicy. Other than that everything was really good.

Incredibly flavorful, super filling, excellent all around. The food was extremely well made, large portion sizes and plenty of sauces to go with it. Try this place, you will not regret it.

We had pani puri, chaat and mango falooda. The falooda is 100%👍. Food was really good too. I think it a great place to experience Indian street food. That’s what we always wanted to have here in Louisville. Definitely try it out it’s different from the original Indian restaurants.

Tried the dosa and panipuri here, dosa seems to be tasty, but I felt pani puri is not worth from here😖😖tasteless.Expected some good silverware for dining😢 disappointed with disposable plastic ones. Only few things were best here was the taste of dosa and the complimentary drinking water😉😉

I wish more Indian restaurants served a platter like this. The food was so good and fulfilling, the platter comes with a free chaas (spiced buttermilk). This is a vegetarian restaurant so I'm not sure why people are giving it less stars just because they don't serve chicken lol.

This establishment is setup as an indoor, outdoor street food vending stall. There is even a place where customers can stand around a stall and eat while the cook is preparing food right in front of them. They grab the food as soon as he makes it. Now that is FRESH. However, what I loved about this place us that it is vegetarian. And the menu is loaded with lovely Indian cuisine. My meal was awesome. We got the sampler and a few specialty dishes. I don't know if we just made good choices or if everything is just that good. We will be returning soon.

Love LOVE Shreeji and each and every employee that is there! Warm, loving, beautiful people who make dishes packed with flavors that make you happy inside. I remember when I walked in during Ramadan to pick up food to break my fast and was wished a ‘happy Ramadan” by one of the gentleman there. they always remember me and treat me like family. Great place. Such a fantastic selection, you can’t go wrong here:

Great eatery outlet for Indian vegetarian food. They have lot of options from north indian , punjabi thali to South Indian cuisine. I loved every food I have tasted Chote bhature, puri bhaji, dabeli, ragda patis, masala dosA, bahubali dosa etc etc Bahabali dosa seemed a funny name to me and when I had it , it was really babhubali and I wasn't able to eat dinner after having it in evening around 5pm :D They have some very good people who would take order very nicely. Overall it's a nice place with good food options. Must try if you haven't.

Superfast service once you order. We tried Kesar Pista Lassi, Dabeli, Vegetable Manchurian Hakka Noodles, and Rava Dosa. Their Dabeli was the best and all others weren't too great but weren't too bad as well. I'd not recommend ordering Indo-Chinese here..Rava Dosa was thick and not at all crispy. Recommend trying Dabeli and may be other chat items.

I ordered dahi puri, vada pav, dabeli, pav bhaji, maysore masala dosa, bombay masala sandwhich and panner chili noodles. The taste of the good was great, panner chili noodles could have been better but overall the taste was great. I would high recommend the restaurant for chaat.

One of the best places in Louisville, KY for some authentic Indian Chaat/Street food. If you like vegan or vegetarian food this place won't disappoint you. We drove from Evansville to shop in Louisville and visited this place later in afternoon for quick lunch. The things your can't go wrong will be their Dahi puri (if you like yogurt), Dosa and milkshakes/floodas. The service is prompt, adjust your spicy tolerance when you order and nice ambience. Just one little complaint to play those Indian music on lower volume it's nice to place in background while you enjoy your food with conversation with others, but music seem to be a problem especially if you're sitting right under where television is.

I visited Shreeji Indian Vegetarian Street Food with my American friends recently, and we were overall okay experience. The food was quick to arrive, but we were not provided with plates or utensils. My American friend was also bothered by a couple of flies in the restaurant. Additionally, the bathroom was not very sanitary. The food itself was not bad, but it was not as good as we used to had. The portions were small, and the dishes were very flavorful. We also found that the prices were a bit high for the QSR. Overall, we would recommend Shreeji Indian Vegetarian Street Food to our friends. There are other Indian restaurants in Louisville that also offers better food, service, and value.

Simply awesome!! I have tried different Indian restaurants in Indiana as well Kentucky but wasn’t able to find the taste I was looking for until I tried Shreeji. Must visit place if you are fan of Indian street food taste. The staff always take care of your orders and give suggestions when necessary to choose better option to eat.
