A small time capsule from Wyoming's past; primarily dedicated to the true King Of Wyoming, Chris LeDoux. This sleepy little town is comprised of the friendliest people on the planet, and Hoofprints of the Past, often times is the general gathering place to talk ranching, or rodeo. Great memorabilia and wonderful people indeed.

I really enjoyed this museum. It was raining out so a trip here was perfect. Lots of local historical items- From area forts along the Bozeman trail, to the Johnson Co Cattle war, to Butch Cassidy and the Hole in the Wall Gang, as well as some Native American items and even a neat collection of Paleo Indian items. Also some buildings behind it like and old schoolhouse , a sheep wagon and an old jail….. easy parking, good hours, be sure to stop if you at in the area!!

Great small museum. They have a neat collection of artifacts that are good family conversation starters. I really enjoyed the school house. It is free, however donations are accepted.

Outstanding museum with some really well done exhibits and artifacts of Western history. The volunteers are very knowledgable. Great place to stop if you are traveling down I-25 through Wyoming.

By far the best museum I have ever been in. Real displays from real people in history and tons of it. The restored buildings out back were super cool and the stories behind alot of the displays were great.

Laurel was absolutely amazing! She describes the events of the Johnson County War with such clarity and detail that we feel as though as we could pass on the stories with little error. She took us to some amazing spots that captured the absolute beauty of the area. We will definitely reach out to her on our next trip from Texas!
