Great walking trail. Very peaceful when it's not busy. I took 3 pictures of an object in the water near the bridge. These photos were taken on 3 separate occasions. You be the judge. I took a new photo with my telephoto lense. Definitely an alligator. Right by the water outlet. The parks department is aware of him. Please do not feed or bother him.

10/14/2023: County parks have very well organized a public event to view the solar eclipse by providing free eyeglasses, educational information and activities for kids. Watching the eclipse through tree leaves lens effect was interesting.

Very nice 2 mile walking track. It takes my son 45 minutes to go around the track with his GS service dog. Almost 2 years of walking here, he hasn't seen an alligator yet. Lots of turtles. I am sure there are alligators lurking in the lake! When the temperature hits 80 and up, he takes her at 7 am. If your bare feet can't handle the pavement, your dog's feet can't either. He loves this reserve for exercise. Only one instance of rude bikers was that he didn't move fast enough for him. He is special needs, told him to f#$% off. Bad experience from him, but he didn't get scared as he had his faithful companion with him. Here are a few photos he has taken. Thank you, Harris County Constables, for patrolling this park! That is a deer in camouflage in one picture!

A hidden gem! Great 1.7 mile paved walking path with mile markers every 1/4 - 1/2 mile. 2 fishing piers. Restrooms at the main "trail head". Non-motorized small boats allowed. Must be able to carry boat to the water, no boat ramp. Open 7am to Dusk. Weekend community nature preserve activities for families. I went on a Monday at 11am to walk. I encountered maybe a dozen other people. There are some isolated spots if you are walking alone- Be safety-minded.

Very scenic park with a 1.7 mile paved trail for walking, running or cycling around a water reservoir. Catch and release fishing, canoeing, sand volleyball and picnic areas. The trails have long stretches of shaded areas in the morning and evening. Accessible from Cypresswood or from the entrance by St Luke’s Hospital. Scheduled activities for kids and the annual Vintage Park Fun Run.

I love this park, and the scenery is just beautiful with lake, water sports, fishing, canoe, volleyball, dog area and etc.

Good park for walking, jogging, biking, and blading. A lot of people are fishing and picnicking there also. No playground stuff for kids though.

Love this park, especially now that they've turned the water faucet back on. I could do with the parks department going back to maintaining the water coolers around the loop as they did pre-covid

Best place for a nice walk, photoshoot, drone flying or just relaxing near the water and watching fish.

Will always love this park. Lots of new additions the past couple of years. Tons of wildlife and benches with great views. Time to go now. Have to wrestle an alligator.
