When my wife and I heard of a new Cuban place opening in Colorado Springs, we knew we had to be there! We learned about their grand opening through a Facebook group and made plans to visit them tonight. Upon waking in, you are welcomed with Spanish music and smiling faces. The server and cook were both full of character. This is the definition of a family-run establishment and I’m here for it! I didn’t eat the entire day in order for us to order a lot of food. As we were ordering the complimentary plantain chips and water were served and then we made the following order: Appetizers: Croquetas de Jamon & 3 Empanadas (2 Ground Beef & 1 Guava & Cheese) Entrees: Ropa Vieja with Arroz Congri & Tostones & Pan con Bistec Everything was flavorful and tasted outstanding. My wife’s two favorite items were the guava and cheese empanadas and the arroz congri. I loved the Ropa Vieja, arroz congri and tostones. The flavors were spot on and the Ropa Vieja was perfectly tender and juicy. The tostones had a crunchier exterior with a very filling interior. Perfect tostones. Everything was made to order and either met or exceeded expectations. My favorite part of the whole night though was when the chef came out to our table and simply inquired how our food was. I couldn’t do anything but clap and yell “Oustanding!” You know you’re getting real Cuban food when the chef comes out to check on you midway while eating. Overall, my wife and I cannot wait to come back. We’re glad we found it early, because we can see this place getting packed and becoming a local gem in the community.

We just had dinner at this fabulous Cuban restaurant tonight, and I had to write a review right away! Beautiful atmosphere, immaculately clean, wonderful service, and the food was absolutely amazing, including its presentation. All we ate (Saturday special--oxtail, vaca frita, lechon asado, and guayaba torreja for dessert) was divine, with a distinctive taste of homemade. I am posting pictures of the entrees, and sorry I forgot to take one of the dessert, which was not only beautiful, but also tasted super delicious. We will definitely be back and will tell all our friends about this little gem in Colorado Springs! Thank you Arelita!

Quint restaurant with fantastic music. The owners were incredibly nice and the food as well as service was amazing. If you like Cuban food, and don’t want to drive far, this is definitely the perfect spot for you! Truly recommend coming here as it was a great overall experience!

This was a truly fantastic restaurant. The owner was very cheerful. He drank a cuban coffee with us at our table, which we thought was pretty awesome and he gave me a beautiful red rose for my wife. The food was tasty and, the atmosphere nice. We would definitely go back when we're in Colorado Springs.

This place is a must go when coming to Colorado Springs. Service was amazing, food was delicious and prices where perfect. If you are looking for authentic cuban food this is the place for you. Owners are so welcoming. We where a group of 15 people and didn't messed up our order which it really surprised us usually when we travel together we always have this issue but not here. We got exactly what we ordered and in less than 20 minutes. Will come back for sure.

Coming from Florida I know good Cuban food when I get it. This place is the real deal. Ordered food to go but will definitely be back to dine in and try more dishes. 10/10

If you're craving an authentic taste of Cuba, Arelita definitely delivers! The food is genuinely fresh and delicious. The “Tostones Rellenos” were delightful and the “Maduros” (fried sweet plantains) were to die for! We also loved the warm atmosphere and welcoming service. The owners are very nice and approachable. Colorado Springs is lucky to have such a fabulous Cuban gem!
