The hot air balloon ride with Black Hills Balloons was the highlight of the trip. Everything about the process was so enjoyable, from listening to the fun banter between the crew, the knowledge of our pilot Mike, the smoothness of the flight itself, the peace of looking over the scenery, and the snacks and mimosas after. This was my first flight, but can't wait to do more!

We had the most amazing morning with Damien and the crew at BHB! This is a must do experience and they do it right. They end the trip with champagne toast. And don’t forget to give Charlie lots of pets…he is the establishment dog…balloon animal. 😂

Black Hills Balloons is a MUST if you are in the area! I absolutely loved it. Everyone was super friendly and professional. Captain Mike was amazing and funny which made it even more delightful, and everyone was very willing to share their knowledge as to what they were doing and why. The crew worked efficiently as a team! It was extremely interesting and I highly recommend them - the sights were amazing!! When we left it felt as though we were leaving family. 💜

Must do adventure!! Pilot Mike was a true joy and the crew was top notch - was interesting to watch them prepare the balloons and the entire process. The views of the valley were great and loved the landings - yes even when the landing isn't perfect it is a FUN MORNING that we won't forget.

Thank you Damien. Keely and crew for a great time! We learned some Black Hills history, saw a beautiful sunrise, watched a few deer and hovered over the top of a water filled abandoned mine! Some great snacks, some balloon history and champagne topped off a great morning! Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Most amazing experience! Damien, Mike and Mike and their BHB staff were phenomenal..friendly, courteous, professional and super entertaining. Well worth the price. The views, the balloon flying process, and history were exciting and interesting. Highly recommend.

I had the absolute pleasure to start my birthday with a balloon ride from the Black Hills balloon company😊 From beginning to end they were phenomenal. They were kind, they were professional, they were funny😁 I highly recommend this experience to anyone. It was so much fun. This was a once in a lifetime experience that I will never forget! The views were beautiful. The experience was peaceful and most definitely exciting and worth every penny! We were able to see multiple types of deer, elk, bison, and could even hear the prairie dogs. Our pilot Mike was very informative and truly made our trip remarkable. Loved our first ever Hot Air Balloon ride! We decided to take the opportunity visiting Black Hills Balloons, while staying at Custer State Park to celebrate for our 1 year wedding anniversary. We flew with Mike and it was a lot of fun! He was very humorous and the views were amazing. We even chatted with some of the crew after and received wonderful recommendations for a scenic drive past Mt. Rushmore.

I booked this as a surprise for my dad on our daddy daughter trip. WE LOVED IT! It was so smooth and absolutely amazing view. We saw several deer and elk. The crew was great and had everything up and running and then broken back down in no time. The stories and jokes were great. The ONLY thing I would change would be the wake up time for us lol. Plan ahead as we had about an hour drive in from Rapid City. The ride back was really cool though and we stopped at several things close by and got some good photos. 100% recommend for all ages. We will be back for sure!!! Thanks for the amazing memories

My wife and I had a wonderful time on June 7th with Black Hills Balloons. The staff of Black Hills Balloons and the pilots were very professional, courteous, friendly, and had a sense of humorl. We would highly recommend this outing to all no matter what the ages are.

There's one word that best describes our experience -epic! This was a BIG highlight to our family trip. The pilot and crew were dialed and our flight could not have been better. I would not hesitate to book another flight again in the future.

It was an amazing time and crazy view. All the crew is very nice and very kind. The sunrise view was gorgeous and the pilot was very nice. The most amazing, peaceful, and serene experience of my entire life. Pilot Don Edwards was phenomenal. He gave us the flight of a lifetime with an incredibly smooth landing. Not once were we fearful. It was just pure bliss the whole ride! Highly recommend!!

I’m afraid of heights and other this balloon ride, I didn’t have any anxiety or feelings of being scared. I recommend doing this at least once in your life! The scenery was beautiful! The pilot was awesome!!

The highlight of our vacation to the Black HIlls. To understand just how professional (and fun) the folks at Black Hills Balloons are you have to experience it for yourself. Damien and Keely Mahony are kind, knowledgeable and very helpful. They go out of their way to make sure that you're not only getting a balloon ride, but an experience you will remember for the rest of your life. Thanks to our pilot Mike Comerford our flight was certainly the experience of a lifetime. Mike kept us safe while also keeping us entertained. Mike offered tips along the way of what to look (and listen) for to make sure we didn't miss a thing. And the ground crew are absolutely fantastic. It was a wonderful ride - I hope to be a repeat "aerostatic adventurer" with BHB!
