This is one of the finest historic farms in New England. The farmhouse was built in 1757 by Stephen Waters. Six generations of the same family, have lived and farmed on this site. Dorothea Waters Moran, was the last descendant of Stephen Waters. She donated the property to the town of Sutton, in 1974. Also of significance is the Waters family connection to the Mayflower.

What a nice day today at the farm! I am amazed that I lived in a neighboring town since 1972 and didn't go to the farm's two day annual event until today. While there is lots to see and learn, I was struck by just how nice people there behaved. So many volunteers worked very hard so people Ike me could have a great day. It's hard to pick one favorite thing about the visit. I did love the painted items and bought a child's rocker with a house scene painted on it. So many talented and skilled people were there today. I was able to buy my annual jar of local honey. If you've never been, go next year!

We really enjoyed Waters Farm Days today. There was a lot of antique machinery, vendors, demonstrations and activities for kids. It was time well spent!!

Delightful area with significant history. Not a lot in the way of signage, but nice for looking around.
