DELICIOUS. This little hidden gem is legit and authentic. They spoke no English and we speak no Spanish... No problem. The service was amazing. The food was outstanding.

A must try if you're in the area. I'll be back (over n over n over) Fav? The sweet fried plantains tasted like Commanders Palace, Bananas Foster...but better!

Cute, charming spot with great Nicaraguan food. The owner has run the place for 25 years and is a wonderful host!

Just wanted to get a quick bite, and my W O R D. I got the Cerda Frito con yuca, and it was more than I hoped for. Cheap. Abundant. And literally packed with flavor while still being a fresh dish. NOLA native approved.

Very authentic Nicaraguan Plate. The meat was a little overcooked, not very juicy but overall it was delicious. The prices aren't bad either. I would come back.

I recently had the beef tongue dinner. It was served with beans and rice and fried plantains. It was all well seasoned and delicious.

Authentic cuisine with friendly and personable staff. Just be ready to brush up on your Spanish. Flavor takes you back home for those from Central America. 💯 Will come back again. Fresh juices are also a really good hit, passion fruit recommended for those not familiar with Spanish fruits.

We had ropa vieja and con gris - excellent the platanitos were perfect. The place looks like a hole in the wall but the food is amazing. Don't be deceived this restaurant is very good and well priced. The people working in the restaurant make you feel like you are in your Nicaraguan grandmother's. I'm not Nicaraguan but if I were this would be my grandparents house. Loved the experience.

Food wasn't that great. My wife from Nicaragua really wanted to go here because it's great back home and we came with her mom. All three of us thought it was subpar. The best thing they had was the queso frito and even that wasn't amazing.
