First time visiting the Messina Hof. Beautiful establishment, atmosphere, and grounds! The wine tasting tour was dope af! Jadyn was an excellent guide! Very enthusiastic! 10/10 would recommend! The varietals used for the wine are of top Texas quality. Many of the wines available had unique characteristics that would leave a lasting impression on the most seasoned connoisseur. 🤌

Nice place clean and well maintained. Friendly and professional staff. The breakfast is good. First time at a B&B. Their tours accompanying the stay was not as I read. I couldn't get the tour with the cheese platter they said they were understaffed. So had to settle for just the wine tasting.

This was my first wine tour and tasting ever, and what an amazing first experience! It was amazing learning about the history of Messina Hof, and then tasting some of the wines that I hadn’t yet tried with more insight and tips was great! Charlotte was the BEST. Super friendly and knowledgeable! I couldn’t believe she could share so much in depth info without stumbling over her words or forgetting things. Nathan was also shadowing on our tour and was very knowledgeable about the wine’s intricacies.

Great experience here at Messina Hof. Staff and management were extremely friendly and made sure each and everyone of their guest had the best experience. Me and my husband went to the harvest festival they had and it was just such a pleasant experience for the both of us and for the people around us! Would highly recommend everyone to give this place a visit!

My husband and I made a stop at Messina Hof Winery. We were greeted with beautiful scenery and pure kindness. We had our 3 kids with us and they were given the same treatment as we were. There is a large pond with tons of turtles just behind the tasting room. The kids were offered cups of turtle food to feed them which made them feel special. Jadyn helped us out during our time there. She instantly struck up a conversation with us providing insight on Messina Hof wines services and available. She was very sweet and knowledgeable giving wonderful advice on their wines. Overall Jadyn made our stop a wonderful one.

Went to harvest festival. Cut and ate grapes. My wife stomped some grapes. Got a tour from the owners. Learned a lot. My favorite part was the family atmosphere. Everyone there was nice and helpful. The family owners from young son to grandparents were actively involved with the tour. You can feel the passion and love for what they do. They were so awesome to chat with.

My best friend and I came in to have a few drinks and had exceptional service from our server Heather and received several recommendations from Becca for different wines. They both were extremely friendly and taught us the history of Messina Hof and how to properly taste the wine. Can’t wait to come back for another girls day!

This was my first ever wine tasting and it was amazing! Jadyn made it so much fun and I appreciated her honest opinions to help me find wines I enjoyed! We will definitely be back next time we’re in town!

Updating my review. I called and spoke to Allison and she was very helpful and was able to customize our February allocation before it was sent out. She even helped me pick out some wines to try out. Thanks again! - Associates at this location are helpful but “back office” could care less for your “VIP” membership. Brooke at this location was great, and so was the other curly blonde associate here. They were pretty helpful and the wines were tasty and decently priced, so we decided to join the wine club… The only recommendation I would add is to have a sign or some sort of structure so that people know where to go for the tours and the tastings, etc. Everyone was kind of just in line waiting to get helped and wondering where to go. And as we were trying out some of the wines, we kept getting interrupted and skipped over for the people who had tours… I’d imagine that this would come in handy on busy days like the weekends.. Now, the reason for the 3 stars is that the “back office” communication is not so great… When we originally signed up for the wine club, we were unaware that the quarterly shipment was about to be sent out within the following days. After speaking with Brooke, she recommend we reach out to the back office team to see if we could skip the first allocation, since we had JUST purchased 6 bottles that day we signed up.. Unfortunately, they were not able to skip our first shipment without incurring a fee (according to the pamphlet). I have created an online account and scoured their website for more information over the wine club allocations, shipping dates, etc and couldn’t find anything. I reached out to the “VIP” email and they were not too helpful.. I just got the automated email saying that our shipment has been confirmed and that I should have received previous information over the allocations and over the pick-up parties, which I have not.. I have also asked about switching the type of wine club/allocations that we will receive, and I am currently waiting to hear back.. Again, more communication would be much appreciated. We were loyal customers of Grape Creek Vineyards for years until we decided to try a different place, and now we are not sure if this is the place for us. I don’t like the idea of having to keep paying for wine that we do not like and the lack of communication/information does not help out either.

Love this place!!!! My family and I went for a tour of the winery and it was terrific. Our tour guide was Meredith 💚💚💚 she was very knowledgeable from the wines they carry to the wine making. She was down to earth and really made the experience. It is during the off season right now but the grounds are still beautiful. You will love the antique artifacts that their Villa has as well. A lot of Texas history at this winery. Best piece of info I didn’t know is that all their grapes are Texas grown!!!!

My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting Messina Hof in Bryan, TX yesterday. We weren't disappointed. The wine was excellent, the staff in the tasting room were friendly and professional, and the grounds were beautiful. We had dinner in the Vintage House and it was exceptional. Rhett was our server, and he was top notch. In short, we'll be back. Next time, we'll spend a few nights in their gorgeous B&B.

Great experience with the awesome tour guide Emma! She knows her stuff. This is a great activity to do with your significant other or best friends or a group. The wine education is foundational and the history lesson of the place was interesting. Would likely go again during the harvest time to see the grapes. Would also enjoy the entire experience by staying at the bed and breakfast. Definitely a must see and do if you're in the area.

Extremely welcoming, great staff, and great wine/food. Visited for a weekend away. Wine tasting had plenty of options and overlooked the lake. Dinner had great steaks and pasta. And the Villa bed and breakfast was very big and cozy (Jean was a tremendous host)!

The wine and the atmosphere was good, but the service was terrible. We ordered a charcuterie board and it took more than 30 mins to arrive (for only cutting a piece of cheese and adding meat and almonds?). We had to ask the waiters twice and the only explanation we got was that there were too many orders. However, tables that arrived much later than us got their orders in 5-10 minutes. I understand mistakes can happened but I would have appreciated better communication.

Impressive range of wines and as authentic Texas wine as it comes. Ethan was our guide and he was super knowledgeable, wasn’t pretentious and gave a great tour! If you are looking for a stop in the Brazos Valley be sure to pick up a few bottles!

The favorite part of my day is having a great glass of wine at Messina Hof. What makes it even better is the great service I get from the staff. One person who stands out is Marianna. With her friendly HELLO when I walk into the tasting room and her awesome service. She’s most definitely one employee to keep!!

We had a tour in the winery. The lady tour guide did a fantastic job! Her knowledge and expressions are in depths and beautiful! Her presentation gave us the great detail about this gorgeous winery. She masters the Q/A with wisdom and appropriate manner.

Emma lead our tour and tasting at the winery. She was very knowledgeable, personable and charming. Stayed in the Camelot room at the villa. The room was spacious and comfortable. Check-in was easy and the inn keeper was informative and friendly. Overall, a wonderful experience. Thank you for helping make our vacation something special.

It's my second time being back and I loved the food here. Last time I came for the wine tasting and it was great! It was before the pandemic so I am unsure if it is the same. The restaurant the heritage was great. I tried the gorgonzola stake pasta and the meat was cooked so well and tender. Best part was the dessert called flamboy banana and they put it on ice cream. Oh my gosh it was great! I recommend it! I will be back in the summer for the wine tasting.

We made reservations for the Spooky Cellar Tour for a Halloween-themed date. We arrived, paid, waited about 20 minutes for other guests to assemble and the tour to begin—at which time we were told we would not be getting what we paid for. The tour guide said the cellar was leaking, and that the tour was unable to continue as planned. Instead, they’d give us a tour of the winery’s antique collection and a couple extra wine tastings. It felt extremely shady to only be told this as the tour was literally starting and we’d already paid. The tour plan was clearly slapped together last minute and we could tell all of the other guests were disappointed as well. Instead of getting to see wine out of the barrel or tanks, the tour guide showed us a picture on her phone and just. What a joke! We also had to remind our tour guide to provide the chocolates that were supposed to be included in the tour as she wasn’t given instructions. We never got the sparkling wine that was promised. Overall, we were extremely let down with the experience, and I wouldn’t return again after such a shameless bait-and-switch. If they can’t provide what they promised, they need to be upfront about that, not take your money and try cobble together a shoddy substitute.

My wife & I visited the winery on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We tried 2 different wine tasting packages. One was a wine makers selection ($18) and the other was a library collection ($38). The library wines were about 8 years old and were in several cases, the same varietals as the younger ones in the cheaper package. Aging made a big difference. Some of the wines (especially the ones that were aged) were very good, we enjoyed the experience.

This is my favorite place in all of Bryan-College station! Celebrated birthdays, date nights, and ring day here. Fantastic wine selection, highly recommend making a reservation for dinner at the Vintage House restaurant.

Messina Hof has been one of my favorite places since the day I discovered it. They genuinely have the best wine and i love their tasting room. Ive been to Harvest Fest as well as a cooking party here and all top knotch. Naturally, when I got engaged, Messina Hof was the place i envisioned my wedding. We set up a tour and all was well. The issues after that were the reason for this review and the 3 stars. The event person, Teri, was impossible to reach. Took multiple emails with no reply, phone calls with no luck, and messages left with other people over the course of 4 months to even get a contract. By thay time, we had tonquestion whether we wanted to move forward with a venue that I felt didnt even care if we had our big day there. It didn't feel right anymore. Please do better for the next bride that is excited for a wedding at your vineyard!

My family and I decided to attend the harvest festival and then eat lunch at the restaurant afterwards. Our waiter was Dylan Johnson, he was very nice, quick, knowledgeable of the menu, and made great recommendations on food and wine.
